Reaction To Murder Of Tyler Jefferson In Her Home Town

Tyler Jefferson was found near the building where she had begun her specialized training here in Pensacola.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Tyler Jefferson. It is sad how we journey off to follow our dreams and to pursue our goals but never make it because our life was cut short by a senseless act. I pray that the person who did this, never have a night of rest and that they are brought to justice. May The "God of Peace" bring comfort and strength to this family, may they know that others also grieve their loss and are praying for them.

I knew Tyler from high school. She always found a way to make me laugh.. we ran track together. When I heard about the horrific act that happened to her, I wasnt sure what to think. I mean, i just talked to her like two days beofre it happened. I planned to get on facebook and get mad at her for not telling me happy birthday on the 13th.. just to find out (on facebook) that she had passed the night before. I cried. I never thought that I would loose someone so close so fast. But GOD had her life planned to the 'T', so i will not ask why he took her from us all. She was a wonderful, high spirited person that will forever live on in the hearts of the people she impacted her time here on earth. May she look down upon us and guide us so that one day we will meet again.

i met Tyler her senior year. she stayed in Tyler and i was living in Sulphur Springs.. she was so sweet with a big heart. her dreams was to stay in the navy for 5years. when Tyler first told me she was getting ready to go to the navy i was hurt. i was saying to myself why are you leaving me,why cant you stay. when i found out how happy she was up there that turned my attitude around. i stop thinking about myself and started thinking about her feelings. she was happy so that made me happy...the wed. before Tyler death we was talking about old times and how we was going to talk when she came down for thanksgiving.. when i heard the news sat. i was hurt my heart was bleeding and i had no-one here for me.. Tyler was a sweet person and i will miss her. she is gone but not forgotten.... Dachell,Andre,Tyris stay strong I'm here for the family and i always will i love y'all and stay strong...

We ran track with Tyler our junior year together and we had a blast; sharing funny experiences, making each other laugh and telling outrageous stories about our lives. We remember the times when she used to confide in us when no one else would take the time to listen or where too quick to judge her.... la'Rissa and I were always there to give friendly advice and bring a smile to her face. She had more living to do and it is a tragedy that she didn't live to see her 19th birthday when so many of us take it for granted..even though we miss you dearly God called you home and when he calls his angels you must answer

I just, less than 20 minutes ago found out that Tyler Jefferson died...Tyler and I were friends and had been for many MANY years, going back to Elementary...Her and I...we had a friendship that not many would understand...I was ALWAYS hard on her, and her to me, but thats because I loved her like a sister...she was a WONDERFUL, BRIGHT, SMART, SWEET, SASSY young lady, who was taken TOOOO SOON...To her family, MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND I KNOW YOU MISS YOUR ANGEL, AS DO I!!!! I just found out today what happened. Tyler and I joined the Navy together and she helped me get ready 4 a new life. She wanted so bad to be out iin the world to be independent and to succeed. To her family, I pray for strength to endure the pain. Just know that the Lord is in control of all. Even when we think we are. He is a God of no mistakes. But I pray that He shows mercy upon those he fault. She was an angel on earth...a goofy lil thang. She made a lot of things easier for me before I left. When I was down and scared she helped me prepare and hold my head up. I didn't know her long, but what I do know is that she will truely be missed. Tyler, we love you girl. And I know you are smiling in Heaven.
