A felon has no place on a city council, as a mayor, or any official position. He didn't care he was breaking a law 10 years ago, who can say he won't break another one now? Because he said so? We have enough corruption in Lawrence County that we don't need to have a felon in power. He can make all the contributions to society he wants, that's a good thing. But he committed a crime, and plead guilty and now wants to challenge it and say he didn't do it a decade later? Who pleads guilty and then says they didn't do it?
