I don't think I have ever seen all 4 inspection lanes on Airport Rd in use at the same time. Usually there are only 2 open when I have been there. Despite that, I have never seen the parking lot as full as described. And the long waits are due to staffing, not because of the size of the facility.

Same with Rt.13 station. Hire some people, don't build another complex and use 50% of that too. If they fully staffed Airport Rd and Rt. 13 that would be doubling the capacity, like building 2 more stations, and create jobs. Oh, yea, one other thing, expand the hours, the bankers hours schedule isn't cutting it. It's not hard to figure out why we are broke!

I agree. Closing at 4pm when the rest of the normal worl works till 5 is just dumb. They should have a second shift to stay open till 11. With the number of cars on the road compared to the number of lanes available, it just makes sense.
Well there ya go, "it just makes sense". God forbid the state government ever tries that concept out. If Markell had a spin he would "mandate" (Dumbacrats seem to like that word) that the employees be hired and hours expanded. Like you said, 7-3 / 3-11 five days a week all four lanes.

Not to change the subject, but you remember the furor a few months back when Markell wrote a bill to give the State workers a raise. It was a very small one, but a raise non the less, since they had not had one in 4+ years. It comes out now that the Health plans are increasing as a result of Obamacare and will suck up all of the increase of the raise. Interesting.
After the election in 2012, the incoming president will repeal obamacare. Of course the rates went up, mine went up from it.
