im so glad they charged him and didn't just brush it aside because he is 9. there is no way in he** a 9 year old doesn't know setting ANYTHING on file, especially a cat or anything living, is a bad idea and will cause alot of damage. WTF is wrong with these kids today. keep this kid away until he is 18 and ONLY let him out when he proves he isn't psycho!!!!!!

Felony cat killing? Has the justice system lost it's mind. The kid might me nothing but trouble, but a felony, that is nuts.

Not surprised by your comment since canines and felines are a delicacy in China. I'll bet that's what will be served in your restaurants during the Olympics w/o visitors knowing.
It's just a stupid cat, get over it! Cats are very tasty! Beijing can cook up a good cat!

They should arrest the kid's PARENTS. He learned that behavior somewhere, I'm sure....

meOOWWWWWWW! Didn't Jerry the Mouse set fire to Tom over and over in the Tom & Jerry cartoon? It was all fun and games then. Now we're suprised that one kid takes it too far. Blame Hanna Barbara (or if you prefer, blame Bush).

Hate to say this, but WHERE WERE THE PARENTS? According to the news this boy has a record of past incidents, so why wasn't he sent to a psych in the past? Maybe they think stealing and killing animals is minimal, and they are waiting for him to kill another child.

There is way too much cruelty to animals in the past few years, along with people shooting other people for no reason. We are getting to be a very sick nation, and I wonder if it is all due to our allowing our children so much freedom and the right to do what they please. Maybe we should go back to the way this country raised children years ago.

...such a fine line with animal cruelty - how much is "just enough" and how much is "way too much"? Kinda like eating prunes, I guess.

Very disturbing..
*get this child help and find the root of his deep anger/mental picture (hope this child can be rehabilitated) if not..another person to monitor for abusive/disturbing behavior.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Leo

This is a great day for fixing things that have gone wrong. If there have been ructions in your relationship with a certain person this is when you can sort things out and get them back on track. If an appliance or gadget is going on the blink, this is your cue to either get it mended or chuck it out and replace it. You may also find time to tidy up your immediate surroundings or take all those bottles and papers to your nearest recycling center. How virtuous you'll feel when it's all done!
