Any CPS worker who refuses to cooperate in this investigation should be immediately fired. If they did nothing wrong, they should have nothing to hide.

This sounds like a perfect time to reinstate water boarding. Let those SOBs get a taste of what those kids went through.

Of course many of the CPS employees are refusing to cooperate. CPS adminsistration is trying to blame the front line workers even though they were following directives from above. CPS has a rigid chain of command system and the field worker is not permitted to make any decsiions abou child removal without getting administrative approval.

refusing to cooperate, missing emails, those who do not cooperate should be fired, unfortunately it's the kids who will suffer because it seems these agencies are under staffed and we need people who will go the distance to help these kids i don't want to read about another story about a child being abused & case workers went to the house & not let in by family members, do your job get in to see these kids whatever it takes we need to save these kids.

mac you don't know what you are talking about. CPS workers do not have any special police powers to enter a person's home. When confronted with no access they have to go back to the office and seek permission from Administrators. Deleted emails? They could have been deleted by the system compuer people at the behest of the ADminstrators who are trying to shift blame to the workers.

The system fails to protect children.
Getting an "Order of Protection" is
also useless.

Suozzi wants to know if anything went wrong - Let's see eight years under his reign, King Thomas has hired unqualified people for positions, made up user fees ($15 fee for dismissed parking tickets), raised property taxes 20 percent, killed children under CPS due to underfunding. Not a bad legacy.

The mindset that somehow the "government" is responsible for raising children is a dangerous way to think. Enabling people to breed while supporting their every need does not work.

After some more investigating and some more thought, the County should begin to discover that marching orders for this obfuscation are coming from the Family Court and the Appellate Division.

The pattern of stalling to allow evidence to age and when pressed to the wall to invoke basic constitutional protections is a classic reflection of high-level judicial intervention into this investigation.

The guy that Nassau County is scapegoating still is at home suspended. Nassau County reps are surprised someone took the Fifth? Who in their right mind would speak to this Garone? She is obviously going to lay the blame on one or two people. Newsday will publish the names and addresses so the scapegoats can be harassed, just like th eguy who is still sitting home. This monster of a woman should never had kids to begin with. It's a shame these kids were killed but no civil servant killed them, just a horrible monster of a woman. This woman had no relatives? Oh yeah she did, they were the ones who after the fact said the county should have taken the kids. If you knew it was that bad you should have sobered up and been at CPS and the police evry damn day. Good luck on your witch hunt Mrs. Garone.

I have the feeling that if we were all given the assignment of working for CPS for a day, we would have a rather enlightening view of the situation. Let us put the blame where it belongs, with the murderous psycho who killed her own children.

Next time some one should report animal abuse, the authorities seem to act right away for those calls, and take the animals away right then, but the humans have no chance.

Its very easy to point the finger at CPS and assume the worst when you never hear about the cases they handled correctly or the thousands of children they have saved.

I do not think that CPS is responsible for the deaths, you are absolutely correct that there is one person to blame. However it needs to be determined if incompetence or agency policy is to blame for the family's cries for help were not heard. If they did what they were supposed to do and this still happened, then the system needs to changed. But since they are refusing to answer, then I'm going to have to lean to the side of incompetence and these people should not be on the payroll.

Blame the system that encourages the non-working to breed while the taxpayer foots the bill. A system that was originally designed to provide a temporary helping hand has been twisted into a multi-generational handout for life. The "system" enables bad behavior by requiring little from the people collecting "entitlements".
