To speak for those who cannot, I feel Jeff Burgess should get many years in prison for the cruelty and neglect he caused on these animals. They depended on him for shelter, food, and companionship and all he gave was scrap. I have been very angry with him and all people who hurt animals, children, and elderly. Innocence was ripped from these animals. This is not the only state this man has done this in. Thankfully, he was unable to pick up and run this time but he will get his. I will be starting a petition in hopes to make it illegal and a fifth degree felony in Ohio to neglect animals. Each animal has a soul, a heart of unconditional love and the animals I saw that were found at his one more chance residence in New Carlisle was in humane for any creature. If I were the judge, I would put him in a cage for a long time with no room to move, no food just a treat here and there and let us never forget rats, huge rats to have nearby so his water and food could be the same treatment he gave to those poor and innocent animals. I know this may sound cruel but he deserves this. When is this gonna stop people? We need to continue educating the people about this kind of behavior and to look for these monsters. Jeff became very greedy with the free food he was getting as he was selling it at Hara Arena while he had spoiled food in a semi only feet away from all the stacked cages. Not only what he did was unforgiveable but he is sick, putting dead dogs in garbage bags and freezers. Whoever assisted him should also be punished. The people who put kids in cages are just as demented but Jeff gets 7 days and $150.00 fine. No this is unexceptable and I hope you will help make his crime a more deserved one. The animals are who I speak for and Jeff needs to be put away, he probably already has a new location with many dogs living in the same situations. I cannot think about this man- actually this trash of a man. I will fight for these animals until justice is served to all cruel and animal neglect in Ohio. Thank You.
