Whats the difference? Crappiest school system in the state, behind Bridgeport. Check it out. Middletown is ranked 169 out of 170. In Middletown, unless you live in downtown, you pay for garbage removal (not included in your property taxes) a really sh$tty school system, and not much more. Sent my kids to Mercy and Xavier. The high school is a freakin' jungle and WWMS isn't any better. I seriously doubt the superintendent's salary is tied to performance, otherwise the superintendent and assistant would be working for free.
And don't get me going on the new assistant superintendent. Enza
Macri promoted from principal at Lawrence to ass't superintendent. Simply ridiculous. Meanwhile, Mark Proffitt, a much better administrator, was overlooked.
Again, stupidity runs rampant through the Middletown Bd of Ed.
