Bush, not Obama, responsible for enormous deficit

Speaking of the deficit, most of it is attributable to the policies of George W. Bush, including irresponsible tax cuts that reduced revenue; an unpaid-for Medicare drug benefit; and two unpaid-for wars, only one of which, in Afghanistan, was justified, and the Bush Administration abandoned that one too soon. Some of the deficit is the result of the Great Recession, which was under way before Obama became president and which would have boosted spending on items like unemployment compensation no matter who was president. Obama’s policies have done little to increase the deficit. Even the cost of the stimulus, a necessary program that sparked the economic recovery, was only temporary

Clinton was the cause of the debt by putting people in homes who could not make the payments.
