I'm a resident of Bedminster Square in Fountainville and I'm being hammered every month with approx a 700 gas bill mostly to heat the 2700sf home, the builder has been here twice to make adjustments to the system and nothing happens. Originally, this neighborhood was supposed to be Natural Gas, which they informed me a week before my closing it had changed.
How exactly does one afford $700/m gas bills when you were told it would be less than half that.
Should you have to buy your gas at their prices because the association which was run by the builder at the time negotiated the rates and made a profit on the transaction?
Hundreds of people are being totally bamboozled here and because everyone thinks we have a larger home we have all this money to throw away...

We are having the same problem > $800 per month, it's insane. Not sure what options we have.

i have been looking for homes there, seeing this just confirms my fear of the control of the propane co and the association. thank you.

I moved into the second phase singles in 2008. I tried doing the budget plan for gas and found that I was averaging around $325 a month over the course of one year. In the Winter months it rarely exceeds $450 a month. Unless you have an older built home (with different system and windows) or you keep your stat above 68 in the dead of Winter it shouldn't be that high. I live in the largest single made in Bedminster Square, the Fredrick. I would question Pulte about your inefficiency!

We moved in a month ago and got our first bill which was close to $600! I'm fed up already and can't wait to get this house on the market. Has the HOA ever addressed this problem? I wish I had seen this topic stream before we bought.

My wife and I just got our first propane bill and it was over $600. I am overly disappointed in this bill. I also feel Pulte was not transparent about this either. Also, where and who is our HOA company that allows such a monopoly to occur. HOA, how about a little help..?

Considering purchasing a town home. Has the propane situation improved or is it still costing a fortune? I certainly can't afford $600 heating bills. Thanks!

As far as I know Liberty Propane can do this indefinitely since that was the contract
with the builder. Check with the neighbors.
