New Britain School Board Tallying Layoff Numbers

It is high time that these administrators are held responsible for their decisions. The taxpayers are being raped while the students are left behind. New Britain students are amongst the poorest performing students in the state while the mill rate in New Britain is amongst the highest. Close ALL the schools and bus these poor children to a town where they can learn!

I hope doris kept the snack fund ....she likes cheeros and chips of any kind. Maybe the common council can approve a special appropriation for snacks.

the 5 klueless board members that gave her another 2 years should resign.
they rushed to vote on the the klueless one's evaluation before the professor returned or better yet this years test scores were reported.

its true, she woulda been out cuz that professor on the board was outta the country at the time they rushed the vote up. if they had it when they should have, he woulda been back and everyone knows he was gonna be the deciding vote to end the contract. i teach at nbhs and the whole system is corrupt. it starts w/ the anxiety felt from our horrendous leadership. i do my best, knowing i will not get any backing from my leadership. admins are the first to throw teachers under the bus all while allowing the students to run wild in the halls. when we try to be strict, admins dont back us and cave to the student's wishes. true, we have competitive salaries, otherwise, who would stay here?

The tax payers in New Britain are not stupid. We all know that this is not new to us. This has been going on for decades. The administration and a lot of the teachers are here for the heafty salaries.
