Toxic algae found in lake

Ohio environmental officials have discovered toxic algae in Buckeye Lake. The algae are called planktothrix, and they produce a neurotoxin called microcystin.

Congratulations are in order here! As a Buckeye Lake resident who has complained for years with NO results to the Army Corps of Engineers (Huntington), Ohio EPA, US EPA (Chicago), the media and others, you "regulators", along with the local developers who have willy-nilly destroyed our wetlands with no consequence, have finally succeeded. Yes, this "alarmist", "tree-hugger" and "complainer" who warned of the dangers involved was, very unfortunately, right. Hey- come for a swim- YOU first, dirtballs.
