I have had a horrible experience with Coleman Motors in New Boston, TX. They put the wrong back axle fluid in my Tahoe and are now refusing to take responsiblity for their wrong doing. I paid $2504 for repairs initially and have had to pay $371 more so far, including having to pay to have the incorrect fluid removed and correct fluid put back in. My bearings are burning up again. Do not trust their workmanship. GM has even said that yes they did make a mistake but insists I return to Coleman to work it out with them since it was an obvious workmanship issue. I live near San Antonio and do not want to travel 15 hours for them to simply look at my vehicle. Besides, they didn't do the correct work the first time, why should I trust them with my vehicle again.

The mechanics they have working there are either past ignorant or purposefully damage vehicles so they can up their "repair" bills. I receieved a letter from GM about replacing a fuel tank on my truck and was told I had to take the vehicle to an authorized dealer - I took it to Colmans & what a run around scam they tried to pull on me!! It took them 5 days to replace the fuel tank, when I finally picked my vehicle up, as soon as I hit interstate, I attempted to engage cruise control but it did not work (worked perfectly before they touched my vehicle) & the service engine light came on - I took it back to Colemans, of course they denied doing anything to the cruise control but told me they would repair for almost 500$- RIDICULOUS!! PLUS they wouldnt let me have my keys until I paid a $45.00 diagnostic charge!! I took my truck to my regular mechanic I use (NOT A DEALERSHIP GUY just an honest mechanic - yes, their are a few out there) & he said the cruise control cable was simply unplugged! You bet I complained & complained & complained to GM but nothing ever happened. I also complained to the Coleman pissant that runs the place for his daddy & he was so disrespectful, rude & insulting, he is just horrible at customer service! But karma, I have to believe will come slap him & his in the face one day. Good luck with your vehicle - take it anywhere but COLEMANS!!

just wanted eevery one to know this exact sort of thing happened to me there.i took my car to colemans for a minor work, the so called mechanic came to me with paperwork to sign authorizing a crazy amount of work, on top of what i brought it in for. i told them i did not want anything done by them at all that i would take it somewhere else. they proceeded to charge me $45 for the "diagnostic" work (exaclty what they called it) and would not give me my keys until I paid them for this crap. i think this sure sounds like a scam. better think before using them says many people around here and i am one of them.
