Bobby claims that the United Methodist church is a biblical alternative to churches of Christ. I've been trying to get him to prove it for weeks to no avail. Perhaps he thought through his claim and found it to be false. He is welcome to retract his statement. I dedicate this thread to Bobby or anyone else who can give me the BIBLICAL proof. Thanks for your time. 1 Thess. 5:21 www.roysecitycoc.org

Here is the problem and the issue: You don't actually understand what and who the Church of Christ is, or else you would not continue to engage in such fruitless debates or questions. There is absolutely no perfect earthly, physical institutional church...which is not even the point. We, as Christians, as disciples of Christ ARE His Church-which has never been limited to a location or a name outside the door. It is about WHO we are in Christ and that He has saved us, called us His own. Wherever we go-we belong to Him. Gathering in a location with the name "Church of Christ" or anything else on the sign does not make anyone more righteous, holy, or saved. His Church is spiritual, not physical. When you DECIDE to try and understand this, focusing more on Jesus-then you will cease this useless debate and your entire message will change (at least one can hope!)

You are coming at this through the back door, and that is now the way it works. You are trying to prove something that is a false premise to begin with, and cannot comprehend what the Church really is...because you equate the TRUE version with an earthly realm, i.e. the Royse City Church of Christ, etc without coming to terms with the reality of the Truth of WHO God's Church really is. Your REFUSAL to accept it will not change the Truth. There is NO earthly, perfect church-that is not what will save. Be being in Christ, WE ARE HIS CHURCH. Why do you CHOOSE to deny and ignore this? Pride? Fear? Ignorance? Complete Denial? Or all of the above?

A Sunday school teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service, "And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?" One bright little girl replied, "Because people are sleeping."

Not going to be many people in Heaven if only the Church of Christ folks going to be there. I think it will be just the opposite and Heath and his sheep will not be present in Glory.

OBEDIENT FAITH HEB.11 Uh-were they saved by the blood of Messiah or by keeping the law? WHEN THEY SACRIFICED ACCORDING TO THE LAW THEY WERE UNDER BY OBEDIENT FAITH THEY WERE SAVED BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST (LEVITICUS; HEB. 8-9). www.roysecitycoc.org

The sad thing is-you LIKE it that way. You only want your select few to be in heaven. You don't want what God wants and your message is greatly misconstrued. It is not the same as God's message, because yours is if condemnation and mocking. God loves and saves us. You take joy in your condemnation and judgment. It is not right!

Where was the contact point? In other words you teach that you (Heath and coc) as an obedient partners with God still are not saved until you come into contact during the act of (physical)baptismal water. Your answer does not give this type of contact point for OT saints, unless you want to say it was the physical act of circumcision. Please go there so I can rip that one apart also. Anyway your answer for the the obedience of OT saints is wrong all by it's self. Gal 3:21 tells us that no law keeping can impart life. Are we having fun yet? So Keeeeep trying until you get it right.........
