I could not believe the 911 tape. Are our 911 operators not trained to take emergency calls? The operator did not ask the appropriate questions nor did it appear that police were sent to the Casey's until 4 minutes into the call when the caller said that the victim was on the floor bleeding. I think the Ames Police Dept should be looking into this situation.

This just goes to show you how life is short and you never know when your time will be to die. My heart goes out to the family and my thoughts and prayers are with them. Always remember Rom. 8:28 "And we know that God causes everything to work together fo the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Also Psalm 34:17 "The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them form all their troubles."

vs 18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit."

Whoever reads this...Whatever the need is God is the answer...your situation is not greater than God's deliverance. He says to "cast your cares upon Him for He careth for you" It doesnt matter what the need is, God is there to meet your every need and even though everyone around you will fail you one time or another; God will never leave you nor forsake you!!!

Ok i have been reading all of the articles and comments on every web page that has discussed this topic. And i have refrained from commenting because i am so close to this situation. 1st and foremost this is a terrible tragedy. For the victim (Chrissy), her family and especially her children. This is also a tragedy for the His family and child (my niece) who has the unfortunate task of dealing with the fact that her dad is a murderer and coward (This i do agree with you). Don't get me wrong no one deserves to die PERIOD!. What the citizens of Iowa do not seem to understand the problems they were experiencing did not just start. The both of them moved to Iowa in hopes of getting on the housing program there. Before they left (Months before) He was beating her ass! Yet she still chose to leave with this man and leave her children behind. They got there and he continued to beat her ass. She finally decided to lock him up ( Which was the best thing she could do) for 90 days. Instead of going back home and getting out of something which she clearly could have done before leaving the south side of Chicago, she stuck around waiting for him to get out. Nothing changed! My point women who experience domestic abuse do not always have to stay in it. When you have an out you should take it! Staying in a abusive relationship is basically co-signing your own death certificate.

She was a victim of abuse and then murder. She obviouisly had some issues, but the attitude of the person who posted this is not cool. Show some sensitivity and understanding toward people. Don't be a jerk. Yes, Ames has had a shift in demographics since the housing situation changed, but all these people talking a bunch of smack about the Chicago folks isn't going to change anything and it certainly won't help. If you want to choose who lives in your community you should buy up a bunch of land. Otherwise, learn to deal.

I live in Ames, not Kelley. I don't know why it says that, by the way.
