Blakeslee is a moron with no sense of what he was riding.
as a biker, i know the risks of riding a motorcycle as does the vast majority of bikers on long island.
but idiots like this who think that going 100mph is "cool" on northern state pkwy should be buried with a sign that say's an idiot is buried here.
this moron didn't take the time to even learn how to ride a motorcycle, forget the insurance.
i hope his parents are proud that their son is a moron.
thank god no one else got hurt.

Did they have Nesconset Highway shut down eastbound for over 5 hours. I thought for sure there was a death there (glad there wasn't). Probably was shut down cuz a Dunkin Donuts is 300 feet away

Ok that I have to give you. I am a biker but a biker I ride a Cruiser, go the speed limit actually on local streets I tend to go slower cause thats where more cars seem to be payine less attention.
On top of being a biker im also a former NYC paramedic. I can tell you first hand more than 1/2 of motorcycle accidents are sport bikes. And almost all of those riders fatalities are from excessive speed.
120 on 4 wheels is unheard of for most peole, 120 on 2 wheels in a non controled enviorment is suicide. They should be made non street legal. If a car came out with a top speed of 215 mph and could be readily acessible to normal consumers and not just the $160,000 import crowd it would be non street legal. Why a $13,000 bike with a top speed of 215 out of the factory can be sold to people without a lic and no exp is beyond me.

I have to agree, the cops directing traffic at the corner of 347 and Terry Road where it was backed up in all directions due to mostly their incompentence at handling traffic at accident scenes.
IF no one was dead (in which case it is a homicide scene) why inconenience thousands of people when it was just injuires?
I mean two hours after the injured were taken to a hospital, they still need to have road closed??????????

If a victim is considered Likely to expire from injuries even though they did not die on scene its going to be investigated as a crime scene. Imagine how many lawsuits the counties would have if they didnt. Sue happy society yet people complain when the cops cover all aspects.

My brother owns a racing bike. However he rarely rides on the street, only as a necessity when transporting his bike. He rides at excessive speeds only on a track. When he rides on the road, he says many other racing bikes pull up next to him and want to race. He just laughs and continues at a legal speed. Even the professional racers feel these guys on are dangerous.

Instead of blaming the cops for the road closure how about blaming the moron who CAUSED the road to be closed.

i agree with you 100%. i also ride a cruiser. and also obey the speed limits on the local roads.
what you said about these rice rockets being outlawed is a great idea.
they are sold to kids 17 to 35. no license is need to buy one and the dealers will give credit to anyone who wants them.
there is no reason a motorcycle should have the capability to do 120 mph on public roads. these idiots race down the parkway's and weave between cars and the results are innocent people getting hurt.
this guy in the story didn't even have insurance.

I live right off Straight Path in Lindy and the summer is the worse....they fly down Straight Path doing at least 100mph doing wheelies, standing on the seat, etc. The noise is horrible.

And now the dingus'll get disability for the rest of his life at taxpayers expense.

Just anopther example of why socilism doesn't work- the stupid and irresponsible are rewarded at the expense of the diligent.

Umm...no injuries? Then what was she treated for? Do they play make-believe in the hospitals now?

I can't take it much longer....this country is too retarded.

That's why my girlfriends and I call those "sport bikes" CROTCH ROCKETS. Those guys think they're cool, when they actually ARE morons.

Maybe I should do that too so I can save a LOT of money. They should give tickets for stupidity. The Counties would make TONS of money from that.
