<quoted text>I agree with you. And, so do lots of other people. They need to come forward and say so. These folks work damn hard and all some people do is spit on them instead of appreciating how hard they work.
I gues they don't mind being spit on if you pay them enough. Maybe all these other poeple in agreement should be deported as well.

<quoted text>Day laborers are averaging $100 per day. You call that low wages? The problem is our immigration system needs to be overhauled. They can't get here legally. The current system only alows a small number of legal immigrants here each year, way below what our country needs to keep the economy rolling. Do you really think there are thousands of Americans just waiting to mow lawns and wash dishes full time?
Average is about $40.00 per day not $100. They can get here legally, they just dont want to because no one would hire them. Get you head out of your azz. They are here illegally period and we dont tolerate those who break the law.

People, you need to calm down and think about what your are saying. I find it ridiculous that you people are against these hard working citizens who came to this country to support us. It doesn't matter if they are not legalized, what matters is they are working for the US and boosting our economy. We all need to rally around them and support them. If you see them on the street pick them up and pay them for someting, they deserve it.
Are you kidding me? These people are not coming to this country to "support us". This is not a rally effort to boost the American economy, it's an effort to improve their own lives and the lives of their families. I'm all for that, but it needs to be done legally. I have an ex-college roommate who immigrated here legally from India years ago. He got married back in his home country after college and has been fighting to get citizenship for his wife, but the process has been dragged out for years. It's a slap in the face to my friend, his wife and all other immigrants who are waiting to go through the legal channels. Those flooding the Mexican and Canadian border and entering the country without being properly processed create an underground society rife with diseases (since illegal immigrants do not go through the same medical clearance and vaccines legal immigrants do), individuals who have no documentation to verify their identity, operate on our city highways with no licenses, registration or insurance, and evade Social Security and income taxes, thereby increasing the tax burden on the documented working class to pay for healthcare and public programs consumed by these illegal immigrants. Take a look at Mexico for god's sake...if you're picked up by the police in Mexico with no I.D., you're thrown in jail where you may just spend the better years of your life until they can verify your identity.
