Massage therapists need to take a boards to practice in NYS. You must be a resident. This is after an extensive education that stresses ethics and appropriate ways to touch patients. Anyone crossing that line should be reprimanded by NYS.

Why did it take Miss September so long to complain? Maybe she was jealous that the other woman was getting the same treatment? She probably thought she was his "special" customer.

I'm glad this preditor is no longer massaging women. I know of more cases worse than this. The NYS Massage review board knows all about these types. No means no. Unwanted touching is unwelcome. Where are ethics and values these days?

I agree completely.I don't know where values are ..I am a massage therapist...and for all of you that are "questioning this behavior" or making light of it...how would you feel if your docter touched you inappropriatley...you would sue them for all they were worth I bet...this is the same....people who get massage both men and woman are not looking for sex...it is both ignorant and narrow minded to say this is true.....I am glad none of you are in my practice because if any of the comments I read here were said to me...I would have you arrested for harrassment..In my 10 year career I have only come across 2 people I would not work with because they had the idea that massage was "sex" ...and that is 100,000 hours of massage so please don't speak if you don't know what you are talking about

This is disturbing. I have patients that are both male and female. If your massage treatment becomes sexual in anyway, it is not massage therapy. The patient (or client) should be safe AT ALL TIMES. It is unfortunate to see stuff like this. This is NOT a common practice, and should not be joked about as such. Stuff like this gives legitimate practitioners a bad name. Please check the New York Office of Professions Website to see if there are any disciplinary actions against your therapist. http://www.op.nysed.gov/opsearches.htm
Also it is a good idea to make sure that they are licensed and registered in this state.
Take care, and stay well

Why was this guy back to work after the first arrest on 11/25? I know all about innocent until proven guilty, but given the nature of the business, and the nature of the claim against this individual, the salon should have prevented him from working there again until his case was settled. I wonder if they let him back to work after the 2nd incident.
The incident that led to the 2nd arrest actually happened earlier than the first. I think the article indicated Nov 25 was for the first arrest, and Sep 1 for the 2nd.

100,000 hours is 11 years, 4 months and 3 weeks, doing nothing else.
Please don't use numbers if you don't know what you're talking about.

So what does a 21 year old need a massage for in the first place. Better she should go for a nice walk in the fresh air. She would feel much better.
