With a name like DiMartino you can bet that it's related to drugs, an extra marital affair or gambling. Take your pick.
Your a moron. With such commentary, you should become a homicide detective, the case would have been solved with your investigative genius.

That sounds racist. If I was like fat Al Sharpton I'd clog up the streets of Long Island with a good old fashioned march. In either case you're a moron.

"slaying of nesconset attorney still under investigation."

No kidding? What genius at Newsday dreamed up that heading for this story? I would hope it is still under investigation.

All of you morons with the "witty" quips at the expense of someone else's tragedy only reveal that you're the ones who are trash. The man was a real estate lawyer....hardly a scourge on society, unlike many of you I'm sure.

This person is a human being with a family and 4 young girls. I can not beleive how you people look at yourself in the mirror and can feel good about it. If he did something wrong it does not give someone the right to kill him. Now how do you think the girls will feel seeing their father being talked about like this

A few observations: a) I hardly see anyone going to this restaurant EVER it's a wonder they're in business (a possible front) which was apparently was not open at the time this occured, I live nearby b) in broad daylight this happens on a busy road (very ballsy or stupid c) there is seedy hotel just down the road (maybe it's drugs) d) a real estate attorney? I think I saw a mention he does foreclosures (maybe he took somone's home away from them)

They said they have some leads. This could be as simple as a road rage incident.

James was a great brother and son and a devoted husband and father. He worked hard to provide for his family. He touched many hearts and will be sorely missed. God called him early so now he is smiling down upon us and watching over us. Bless the family and friends and his soul.

don't be so quick to judge, this was a sincere, hard working person, 100's of people came to his wake, he touched many hearts, was a good decent man and loved his wife and children. My brother was not involved in drugs or anything else. Don't speak until you know the facts and until you know the person, ask anyone and they will tell you what a special man he was.

You are a total ass and an insensitive moron too. My brother was the kindest man you would ever meet, never in trouble for anything. He was an attorney and a damn good one, worked very hard for his family. You are insensitve to make those taco bell and wendy's comments. If you have ever had to deal with a family member being murdered, you would wish you could swallow or those nasty remarks. This was a tragedy.

Whether or not you despise lawyers, let's look at the big picture. A husband & father of four is gone forever because of a lowlife punk. Yeah I know people consider attorneys pond scum, lowlifes, ambulance chasers et al. but still he is a human who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Condolences to James's family on their loss. Personally I don't care for lawyers, but when you need them you're glad you have them.
Thank you for your kind words, and for the record all attorney's are not scum. My brother was a sweet man, loved his family and worked hard.

Good guys dont get blasted like this guy did. Maybe he was picking his nose at a light and the wrong guy saw him pull out the booger like silly string out of a can.
You are truly sick, have you no compassion, this was a beautiful man, you didn't know him, 100's were at the wake, he touched so many hearts.

I'm sorry for you that you do not know love.

I feel bad for the vic's family, but how upset can we get about one less lawyer in society? Whatever field they are in, all they do is create problems. They are all cut from the same cloth...
That is bullshit, you didn't know my brother, so don't put him in a category where he doesn't belong, where are your facts about him. He is dead, gone forever, do you think that is funny? Wait till you lose someone close, you won't be mouthing off then.
