Does anyone know if Neosho Falls has any kind of museum, even in one of the churches? My father was born and raised there and I have a book, inscribed March 16, 1902 by Mildred Curtis, Neosho Falls, Ks. I think it belongs there, but I have no idea how to go about it.
Thanks, Cheryl Smith |

Contact the Chamber of Commerce:
Chamber Of Commerce-Yates Center 108 South Main Street, Yates Center, KS 66783 Neosho Falls does not have a museum, but many historical pieces from that community are at the Woodson County Historical Society. Hope this helps! |

Cheryl...
If you still have the book you could contact the mayor of Neosho Falls, Jay Leedy. Neosho Falls was destroyed by a flood in 1951. It is written up in a book called "Ghost Towns of Kansas" and has about 158 residents there now. They would be happy to have any memorabillia from the "early" days. Geri Town is the county's museum director... The museum is located at 209 W. Mary in Yates Center. I am sure they would love to see the book as well... |
