I've been warning people for decades that tanning is unhealthy.
But goodness gracious, even I only thought that the dangers were long term (i.e., skin cancer and premature wrinkling). Stay Pale! |

oh man! I think I'm gonna blow chunks!

Wow, I thought vanity was just disgusting...turns out it's deadly.

well it says the bed was not on. maybe she wasn't tanning at the moment. Maybe that was her "bed" hell i don't know. but if she was burned up from the bed i think the police would have noticed!

Tillie, I'm assuming you're a Christian here, and another sad example of one at that. "Let he without sin cast the first stone." I'm not even Christian, but it's terribly bold and abhorrent of you to say someone deserves to die. Who are you to judge?

Only God decides who goes to Heaven as stated perfectly clearly in the Bible. Just because you label yourself a Christian and go to work doesn't mean your actions measure up. For the record, did I mention that I'm not a Christian?

Actually, that's not entirely true. Humans need sunlight (even the artificial kind from tanning beds) in order to manufacture vitamin D. While you can take supplements, it is this exposure to sunlight that makes calcium usable by our bodies by combining it with vitamin D. It is also important to note that lack of sunlight (real or not) can cause depression in people, hence why there are more reported cases of it during the winter months. This being said, yes, there can be too much of a good thing. Cancer and advanced aging of the skin come to mind as the most common problems that come about from over sunning. I for one, will be interested in finding out the cause of death in this case. It is strange to say the least. |
