Frankfurters flaunt common touch

Here's an understatement: Dirty Frank's Hot Dog Palace -- just a bunch of worn tables and a bar -- is plain.

That is a really odd way to write about this place. Yes, it is small but plain - I don't think so. There is original art covering all the walls in a kitschy 80's and baseball theme done by, I believe, one of the owners. It makes the place more fun and goes well with the food and drink offerings. Some of the drinks are named after characters on Pee Wee's Play House. See their menu, it's different and fun and the 'dogs, fries and funnel cake iare all very yummy.

I felt that this review fell short - for one thing, the hand-cut french fries are delicious, especially when covered with cheese and bacon and the high-quality Nathan's hot dog is the best start to any creative frank.
The decor at Dirty Frank's is simple and stylistic - not plain. For instance in addition to the baseball-themed pop-type art there's also a lovely 4' painting of Michael Jackson above the bar.
