Vandalism to farm house

Earlier this year there was a party at an abandoned farm house. 60+ students of Neligh and surrounding towns showed up and vandalism was done on this house. Of the 60+ students that were there, how many of them have been charged with traspassing, vandalism, underage drinking, etc? Only about 15 of them. Why, do you ask? That's normal in this small town. If you've been in trouble with the law before, your always accused of anything that goes wrong. If your a football, basketball or other sport star, you get passed on by even if they were the ones that caused all the vandalism. I think the prosecutor needs to stop worrying about re-election and do the job he was voted in to do. One individual just showed up and left immediately after they saw what was going on, and still got arrested, just because they had been in trouble with the law before. Wake up county prosecutor, your not doing the other students any favor, just their parents by not fully prosecuting the ones that need prosecuting.
Signed former Nelighite that won't move back.

I agree with you. But if you lived i eligh you know how that goes. Our law enforcement in Antelope leaves alot to be desired. We have alot of problems around here. There needs to be some great punishment for the verdict of that deal. Did you know that the kids wanted to tell who is buying the booze for these kids but the deputies would not listen and got ruff with the kids because they wanted to tell. Did you know that there are camaras above the store the Fountain and they later stopped the kids that they were they were charging and the parents wanted them to watch the film and they refused to. Can ya tell me why? There needs to be a big shake up in Neligh. I really do not know why Mike did what he did I like Mike but if it all happened the way they say it did he was totally wrong. As far as worrying about re-election I don't think he has any intentin of running again. I hope that if you have any ties to Neligh you will help encourage these people to keep to push the issue. I am also a parent and know the situation as I know the parents whos kids took the wrap and I know the people whos house was wrecked and as far aas I know they are also not happy about the way it went. I am not from Neligh myself but have some friends there and feel sorry for them

My newphew is being one of the individuals being charged for the vandalism. He admitts that he went out there and was there for about 20 minutes when he saw what was going on with the vandalism. He immediately got out of there. He has many witnesses that have testified to that also, but since he's had some prior runins with the law, he is one of the few individuals being charged. He's taking it to trial, which I'm proud of him for doing that. He's a national guard and finally wants to prove his innosence. I'd like to see all the affidavits of the kids that says he was there. Are the same kids also being charged for being there since supposedly they saw my newphew there. I think not. Got to have money, or be on a sport team in order to keep the law off your back.

no just kiss the a-- of the deputies of the sheriff thats all it takes. Mommy and daddy probably paid for their Christmas party since the money box was straightened out. I would think that Rices would see thru that also and step in and do something about that. Do they no know that this was not three kids. What I know of them they are pretty nice people and I cannot see them okaying that
Has ANYONE talked to them

Your kids shouldn't have been their in the first place...Worry bout your own, parents, take some responsibility, and tell both sides of this story.
And learn how to spell-innocence.
He admitted to being there, why see affadavits to that effect?
Glad he went to trial, thats his right as a citizen...Hope the National Guard straightened him out.
Small town hubub at its finest.....
