Voted For McDowell, Gary

I do not know Benishek. I certainly do not want to say anything demeaning about someone I do not know. However, I have known McDowell for many years: very decent man; good family person; intelligent and cares about Northern Michigan and about people. Even many Republicans in our area who know McDowell like and support him. He studies the issues and knows about them before voting. I especially like his opposition to the importation of out-of-state trash into Michigan. The state senate were the ones who held up passage of the bill to raise tipping fees to remove the incentive to bring trash into Michigan. McDowell was on the right side of that issue. He deserves to be elected.

Voted For Glenn a. Wilson

I have vetted both Mr. Wilson and Dr. Benishek. Mr Wilson is 100% Constitutional. Dr. Benishek sounds like big Republican money has gotten to him. Dr. Benishek also will vote NOT to get the USA out of the UN. Mr. Wilson campaigns on the high road with integrity and honesty and of course Constitutionally.

I have been to over 15 TEA Parties in the 1st District this year and have come to the conclusion Mr. Wilson is the clear choice. He exemplifies integrity and honesty, always the high road.
His knowledge of the issues as they relate to the Constitution is always first and foremost. His speaking skills are uncanny, he never knows what he is about to say at these events, has no notes or cheat sheets. It comes from the heart and is always 100% Constitutional.

Which candidate do you think will have the best interests of Northern Michigan's citizens at heart? Glenn Wilson, who's campaign has been funded by everyday citizens, like us? Or, the other two candidates in this race, who have accepted PAC money, from big unions, financial institutions and oil companies? Glenn Wilson's got my vote!

But which candidate has a realistic chance of getting elected? Unfortunately not an independent candidate. So once again we get a choice between tweedle dee & tweedle dum....

I'll be voting for tweedle dum (the Republican) just to ensure gridlock reigns in D.C. That way they can't do any more damage than they already have.

Dan is not a leader. In Onaway his followers insulted Glenn when he left. Dan sat a giggggled like at little kid. I asked him to appologize. No Action! Dan can not speak and has limited experience. Glenn can speak and has solid experience. The trash talk and ads will not generate votes.

Voted For Glenn a. Wilson

We need a conservative candidate who refuses to run a campaign based on personal attacks and lies. Among other things, Wilson's gold card for veterans is an idea that needs to be implemented NOW. We owe our finest more than a bus trip to Detroit for medical care!

I was at the debate in Petoskey yesterday.
Mr Wilson's rebuttal to Dr Benishek concerning HR1207 "Audit the Fed" was met with silence.
How is it that Dr Benishek can claim fiscal responsibility when he refuses to show sunshine onto the Federal Reserve?
During the I-Caucus vetting prior to the primary both Mr. Stillings and Dr Benishek claimed to support HR1207.
Now Mr Stillings has endorsed the good doctor, does anyone smell some fresh ink from the fed?

Support Dr Dan Benishek
Dan Benishek should represent us in the 1st Congressional District. He understands:
1) Jobs are created through free enterprise, personal responsibility, and individual liberty; bloated government and high taxes destroy jobs. 2) Lower personal and business taxes encourage investment, growing both jobs and tax revenue. 3) Secure borders increase available jobs, improve national security and decrease welfare costs. 4) Legislation and spending must be constitutional; the federal government cannot be allowed to destroy the futures of our children and grandchildren. 5) Healthcare costs can be controlled through litigation reform and free market competition; Obamacare must be repealed and replaced with tax deductable, portable, interstate healthcare plans chosen by the individuals using them. 6) Responsible use of natural resources and development of clean energy alternatives, including nuclear, are essential to our energy independence. 7) Government and government authorized entities must be transparent, including Fannie, Freddie and the Federal Reserve.
Dr Benishek supports these and the other principles outlined in the Pledge to America, published recently by conservatives in the Republican party. Even as a ‘non-politician’, he will join the momentum of these conservatives to bring our country and the Republican party back to its constitutional roots.
Dr Benishek’s democrat opponent supports Obamacare and does not understand how high taxes, regulation and government spending create uncertainty and stifle economic growth and prosperity in the 1st District and throughout our great nation. His job-killing voting record as a state representative makes this clear.
Dr Benishek’s minor-party and independent opponents do not understand that alienation of party colleagues in Congress leaves them without partners with whom to caucus and with no way to generate support and momentum for important reforms that must be undertaken. Consequently, we in the 1st District would have no real voice in Congress.

Well as long as people are lead like sheep by the Republicans and Democrats thinking no one else has a chance to win then we will continue on with the same old crap.
It's time for people to stand of and vote against Democrats and Republicans.
Everyone keeps saying they want change, it will never happen as long as we keep the same two parties in office that put us in this mess in the first place.

Don't vote for who you THINK will win, vote for the candidate you WANT to win. Even if that candidate has no chance of winning at least you will have stood by your convictions.

To all Benishek supporters, why has your candidate suddenly changed his position on HR1207?
Looks to me like fiscal responsibility is no longer in his platform.
The heart of the financial holocaust is the criminal mischief of the Federal Reserve, yet his silence is now deafening. Please tell me why.
