Being that it is a metal bridge, does it have any scrap value?

Maybe my wife could drive a boat down the river some Friday night & take care of the problem for you for free!
I would expect some type of donation for my reelection of course!

"The bridge has been unused for years."

Actually, that could apply to the entire city of Wheeling. Aside from offering social and welfare services to the impoverished residents, what economic purpose does Wheeling serve in the global economy? Ditto for Youngstown, Washington, PA, Portsmouth, Bucyrus, etc.

Being a former Wheeling resident I love your comment and agree with it. That is why I left

Just be glad it was closed before it became a repeat of "the silver bridge" of Galipolis

It's now a rusted out landmark unfortunately, and you can't leave every old bridge up because it's just more for boats and barges to navigate. Hopefully the Bellaire and Fort Steuben Bridges follow.

It will probably cost more to take it down than it did to build it.

stick all the illegal aliens out on wheeling island then blow the bridge. That ought to confine them for about 15 minutes!

I don't care what it is, if you look at it you will see if they don't tear it down it will fall on it's own

The bridge must be removed before Wheeling Island sinks under the weight of its own crack cocaine.
