Surely this has nothing to do with drugs.

Not every crime in this County is drug related.

Another search party would be helpful.

Beau's truck has been found abandoned "in a partially wooded area". Where this "wooded" area is, I do not know. I hope that he is found safe and returns home to his family who are in need of prayer and thoughts.

Please, if you have further details; share them with the police and Sheriffs Department.

This is kind of like the missing persons case a few months ago.

I wonder who's in charge of the investigation this time?

I read there have been more details found about the case. ISurf doesn't tell what the details pertain to, but I was just wondering if anyone else knew.

This may have nothing to do with this case, but about a week or so ago I heard on the scanner that a woman reported seeing what she thought was a man tied up in the back of a truck. The truck had a camper shell on it. The reason I wanted to share this is because this was seen at the Ideal on 85, which is very close to where his truck was found. When they ran the plate it came back to a truck registered in Central City. I never heard anymore about it. I wonder if it was even taken seriously? She said that it looked as if his mouth was covered with something. Like I said this may be nothing but then again who knows? My prayers are with the family.

jumper, that would be Mike Settle you're talking about.

Settle is in jail at the moment on drug charges.

Bo's truck was found parked next door to Settles, I believe that is what the news was conveying.

If his disappearance drug related(which Bo did do drugs), and I hope it is not, this is probably going to end up bad.

I hope the officials found something that leads them to Bo, at least to give the family closure on this sad moment that occurring in their lives.

I will continue to keep the family in my thoughts and hope for a safe return of Bo.

I don't know much about the incident except what I have read on here and heard on the news. Does Beau hunt? Considering this was during deer season, is there a possibility that he was out hunting and injured? If not, then next question would be, when did his truck get reported and where was it located at? After that if we have a general date, it would be possible to try and tie in some time frames of when he was last spoken to, or used his debit card etc for gas or groceries? Does he own a cell phone? If so, can we cross reference the date and time of the call compared to the time he was last seen, each tower has an identification number it uses when a call is made, that's how we jump tower to tower, it hits the tower closest with the best signal? Next, if we have any of the items above and can possibly get a direction of travel to the location the truck was found, the Police could request the surveillance tapes recorded to DVR's at most of the gas stations between his home or intial area last seen with the date of his last cell call etc. and possibly see if there was someone with him or note if there was any thing abnormal that may spark attention to his driving, what he was wearing, etc. I hope they come up with some news for the families sake. Not knowing is sometimes the worst possible way to deal with an incident like this. There is no peace of mind either way. The truth will set a mind free from the binding claws of the unknown. I wish the family and friends well. Will keep you all in my prayers.

The paper of 12-7-10 reported that the landowner where the truck was found called the Sheriff's Office on Nov. 30 (a Tuesday) He phoned the sheriff's office and a deputy sheriff advised him to have it towed, the landowner gave the deputy the license plate number. The fellow had it towed on Wednesday 12-1-10. The man was reported missing to the sheriff's office on Thursday 12-2-10. Then the landowner did not hear anything else till the weekend after it had been towed. Not from the deputies investigating the case, but from the search party that knocked on his door on Sunday.

So, the sheriff's office knew where the truck was on Tursday, he was reported missing on Thursday, and by Sunday they had still not talked to this gentleman.

Now, I understand that it was probably two different deputies that took the two separate complaints and one may not have known about the other. That is probably what happened and I get that. What I don't get is why when the deputies superior officer was going over the varied complaints how this did not connect. How did the superior officer miss this? If a superior officer did not go over the varied reports, then why not? I also don't get how an investigating officer never got around to talking to the landowner even if he (she) did not know about the separate reports. The investigator had to know the area he was last seen in, in was in the newspaper.

Now, you say, maybe they don't have superior officers, I beg to differ, would be called the high sheriff. And if the high sheriff was for some reason unavailable, then he would appoint a temporary designee, wouldn't he?

So, to the poster that said give the information to the sheriff's office, I say "what for?"
