Hospital Offers Free Flu Shots To School Staff

Teachers and school staff in Easton rolled up their sleeves today. Easton Hospital hosted a seasonal flu shot clinic for staff of the Easton Area School District this morning.

Why in the world would you offer FREE flu shots to the teachers?? Aren't we paying them enough that they can't afford to pay for it themselve?. Where is my FREE flu shot?????? I thought not! Who's shot did I pay for? Do teachers also get free lunches at the taxpayers expense? Marion

Call me Ishmael. Some years ago---never mind how long preciously--having little or no money in my purse ,and nothing in particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. Hence I solemmly took to the ship in a blind efort to appease my drizzling soul. Unbeknownst to to me was the fateful event this voyage would present. Having a shortage of fresh water, the men resigned themselves to not washing their hands after the moving of bowels, causing a severe occurence of stomach cramps and other unpleasant digestive symptoms . Perhaps if I had taken solace in the land, I would never have set foot on that cursed ship.

AREN'T WE PAYING THEM ENOUGH??? Are you kidding me? What an ignorant, under educated comment that is!!! Who do you think is teaching the future of your country??? We don't pay teachers nearly enough for all they put up with .. the least we can do is make sure they don't get sick and are able to come to work everyday to TEACH our future. GET A LIFE AND FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO COMPLAIN ABOUT!! I am not even a teacher and I can recognize and accept something as little as a free flu shot!

Obviously, Marion from Hereford is and has never been a teacher to make such an ignorant comment. If this person thinks the job is such a great-paying "free ride" at the taxpayers' expense, why doesn't this person become a teacher?! People who make comments such as this wouldn't last a minute in a classroom with even the most even-tempered students, much less the difficult classrooms today's teachers deal with. Get a grip, Marion! The least the taxpayers can do is try to keep teachers healthy so they can come to school and give children a quality education.
