Couple sentenced to county jail in mushroom case

A Ukiah couple arrested by the Mendocino Major Crimes Task Force on suspicion of growing psychedelic mushrooms were sentenced by Judge Richard Henderson to county jail.

i have known this girl since kindergarten, its so sad the decisions she has made. i feel so bad for her children.

Where do the police come up with these ridiculous drug prices? If you don't know what a drug costs on the street, why fabricate a price?
Making up a price is not just misleading...it shows that those in charge of keeping us safe from these terrible plants, don't really know as much as they say they do.
It also causes people to question other information we receive from those in charge of policing "dangerous plants"....Is the information real or is it fabricated too..."for our own good".

the thing is....they get the price from druggies on the street and dealers. Maybe the druggies are just too high to understand what they paid...maybe the dealers want to sound more important than they do. or maybe they're right in their street pricing, and you're just have a good buddy who hooks you up, or you're selling under market.

Sounds like some of you think there should be a medical mushroom defense. No more than 25 mushrooms in any apartment as long as they arent in the kids room.

i don't think it is fair to pass judgements as to WIC and the status of her partner. the facts remain she endangered her children and she is guilty. there is nothing wrong with WIC and it is not our place to assume about her marital status. that should not have been brought to this issue. i'm not defending her. what she did is wrong.

What is the problem with WIC. Many mothers who are married use WIC. It is not just coupons provided healthy foods for breastfeeding mothers and young children but it is also classes that teach healthy nutrition. I am a working mother who has used WIC in the past. I am also a single mother who put herself through school and worked two part-time jobs while doing it!!

"tom" made a very ignorant comment. what if she was on WIC? what if she is unmarried? that is not important. she endangered her children, that is what is important.
