Why Are SO Many Gays and Lesbians Drawn to Navarre/Fort Walton Beach Area?

Homosexuality has become an accepted lifestyle in most cities and towns across the nation. However, there seems to be a greater influx in this area (Navarre) for some reason. I have another home in a different state and it doesn't seem as prevalent there.
I don't have a problem with it, as I have wonderful neighbors in Navarre who are a gay couple.(I guess I should ask them)??
Are gays and lesbians perhaps accepted and treated with more respect here than some other places? Just asking.
