Navarre is a Beautiful place to live. Its a rather small town but i love it.
i've lived there for almost ten years and compared to other places it has a relatively low crime rate. the only downfall is that of course its located close to the water so during hurricane season there is some concern. there are two major towns on both the east and west sides of navarre where most of the recreation takes place. i would look into renting an apartment from Cayo Grande since its located in the center of the town.

Its a nice place. Kind of quiet and no real crime. I own a home about a mile from the water and didnt have any damage from the storms over the years. they do seem to charge alot for rent around this entire area (maybe $750/month on up for anything from a trailer to an apartment). Fort Walton Beach is 20 minutes East of here and Pensacola is about 30-40 minutes away. Nice place to raise a family but not too many jobs here...

Navarre is a decent place to live. Depending on your needs, you may be more interested into moving in to Fort Walton, about fifteen minutes from Navarre. I lived in Navarre for about 3 year with my parents, and moved to Fort Walton about 6 months ago. Living in Fort Walton Beach is much better in my opinion, but if you're raising a family, I would stick with Navarre.

I was in both places for a couple of months, Navarre is beautiful, its very difficult to find a job thou even in a fast food joint. If you are looking for work you'd better go to Ft Walton Beach.

These comments are very helpful. My family is also looking to move to the area. I have another question....i have 2 horses I'll be bringing with me. Are there any good boarding stables nearby?
