A child's birthday party at a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant was cut short after a fight broke out between two mothers.

We will see more of this type of behavior in the coming years. The children of baby boomers were not raised properly and now their inmaturity and unresolved issues come to fruition as they themselves are now incompetent parents and the cycle continues.

This is especially true since the age of mothers just keeps getting lower and lower. I saw a girl recently showing off pictures of her new baby, and she could not have been any older than 13. What do you know about raising a child atthat age? It's really unfortunate. And the examples that these women set for their children with this fight....

I must say I am not surprised. I have brought my neices to CC in Manchester. The kids are wild in there. It's absolutly crazy. Not many kids have a parent with them at all times. If you put a coin in a game more than once in a night another kid will try to jump in and play the game with your child etc. I say parents if you can't afford to bring your kid there, then don't. I know I have become mad may times and if a parent of one of these kids was around, I wold probably open my big mouth and tell them to watch their kid.

Actually, the average age for having children has gone up over the past several years. While there are some extreme cases of 13 and 14 year olds having kids, they are relatively rare.

I agree, but tactfully telling a parent to watch their kid and just outright socking them in the eye are compeltely different. Unfortunately, people like you who actually were taught manners by your parents will come up against some wild banshee who doesn't have a sufficient vocabulary to communicate with you. Their fist reaction will be to get physical. And those are usually the people who also think their children can do no wrong. Sorry to go off on a tangent, but I can't stand those parents.

I think the statement should be that teenagers are looking younger and younger... Just because she looked like she was 13 doesn't mean she was... When I was 21 people thought I was much younger. Besides, back in the "olden days" people were getting married and having kids at 15-16... and that was acceptable!

I wouldn't say that they are rare because in the medical field, I see it all too often. Numbers could have decreased, but it is still a very big problem, especially amongst certain economic groups. These girls may look as old as 20 sometimes (and that may be what has people fooled), but I get to see the ages on paper.

Why do parents think taking their kids to Chuck E. Cheese is a free pass to retire from parental duty for a couple of hours? Parents chit-chat and pay no attention to their ill-mannered children who a let loose like a bunch of convicts who escaped prison.
