monte demars!!!

he's already the asst. pricipal at the annex got an office and everything beside the other so called principal!! got the joe clark bullhorn he carries around too! he suspends students on site! yeah he's the asst. pricipal....but he's not even a certified teacher! while a guy like wayne choate has to teach p.e.

the sad part is this isn't a joke or a lie except the part about him being principal at weaver. this is what's going on in our public school system! st. mary's is looking better and better everyday!

He is an English teacher at the Natchitoches Central Annex. I don't know where you are getting your information from, but it is faulty---to say the least.

i know he's SUPPOSED to be an english teacher that's the whole point!

i'm not joking he actually has an office right next to the principal and suspends students when he wants! he doesn't oversee his class someone else is always in it! i'm serious about the bullhorn and everything...i know it sounds like lies but its the truth!

i'll bet anything you want that if you take a trip to that school or just talk to a teacher out there you'll find out i'm not lying!

hey i'm not knocking him they let him do it!

Back in the "good ole days" Weaver was a top notch school. I hear it has gone to the dogs. Ever since Martha Wynn left is has been going down hill. Extremely sad.

Just to let you know, he's NOT a certified teacher. He has a "temporary" certificate which means he has not completed/passed the appropriate courses to earn a permanent teaching certificate let alone the endorsement for administration. Any Tom, Dick, or Harry can get this type of certificate, called a TAT, temporary authorization to teach. I know many many parishes that won't even hire someone who has this type of certificate. His "certificate" and anyone else that teaches is public information that can be found on http://www.teachlouisiana.net . Just click on "verify teaching certificate"

I was a student there when it was a really good school. The only downside it had was the G/T teacher Mrs. Milliman (sp?). If she is still teaching gifted and talented I am going to cry for the poor children at her awful mercy. My Gifted teachers after that were awesome though and I hope schools keep programs like that for kids who want more to do enrichment wise.

We also had cooler fieldtrips. Seeing the Monet exhibit was one of the most awesome experiences I've ever had.(circa 1993?)

all the good teachers have been ran away or they are beginning to retire.

the young and upcoming teachers who really care are givenn hard times by the old lazy ones or the principals on power trips looking for someone to throw their wrath on because they can't do it to the old tenured ones!

its a constant power stuggle!

Murphy is not going to hire anyone from the parish, you can bet on that. She has demolarized the entire system. She brings in lesser qualified administrators from elsewhere and lets them destroy the system. Word is it will she will be from Winn Parish!!

I can't believe they would not just promote the assistant principal at Weaver. She does an awesome job! It would only be right to promote her since she handles most of the discipline cases anyway. Mrs. I does a great job and should get the job. Not someone from a different school or different parish! I too have noticed a decline in Weaver. My daughter started pre-k there and every year it gets worse! I had to pick my kids up the other day and they were screaming at parents for parking to pick up their walking children. Saying they weren't walkers if you came in a car to get them. It was raining and really nasty that day! I guess they would rather the kids walk in the rain and get sick.

That is exactly where I got that information from...as well as the annex school website. He has a temporary certificate, and I am aware of this. I just know that he is not the assistant principal at the annex, he is an English teacher. He is not qualified to be on the administration team. That is all I was referring to.

Word from Winn Parish (on Topix) is that the new principal of Weaver will be Stewart from Dodson. Why conduct interviews if it is a done deal before they occur? Surely, this is not true? I would like to think that Dr. Murphy has not sunk that low.
