Tommy O'Con is my agent and sold motor club to me years ago. I had a car accident and motor club reimbursed me for the attorney retainer. They also paid for my rent car. The monthly fee is very reasonable.

I think I might need to join a motor club too. Do they do motorcycles?

Yes...My membership with NMC includes identity theft protection and will pay up to $25,000 to get everything taken care of if that ever occurs to me. Pfe, I wouldn't be without it...My cost is only $18 per month and the company is very reputable...I remember my dad having one of those emblems on his cars 40 years ago..Go to their website at www.nmcfs.com/3117 and read all about their services.

why pay 18 per month when for 49.00 per year you get the same/better service with AAA?

There is a NMC Rep that owns the Kitchen store on Front Street. Not sure of the name of the store but they sell kitchen wares. He's my rep. I love the NMC. They've saved my life while stranded on the roadway. Never paid a penny, just signed my name.

I guess because with NMC you enroll through a local rep not by mail..Therefore you receive that personal service. Triple AAA does not offer many of the benefits that NMC offers such as hospital and death benefits caused by any type of accident. With AAA you are covered only in a vehicle accident and the $$ amounts of coverage are not near as much with NMC. You even get up to 50% discounts on prescriptions and vision care...NMC is the largest independent owned motor club in America and has been in business since 1956...Those are some of the reasons why I am now and will always be a NMC member.

Phillip is no longer with the company...He is devoting more time to his business and at NSU..He always just worked part-time but was great at his work with NMC...He wrote a lot of groups in Natchitoches..Tommy O'Con is my rep. He wrote me my NMC membership back in 1983 when I worked for the council on aging. About 36 of our staff joined the motor club from Tommy and are very happy with its services.

Mechanic, hate to disagree, but I've got too...AAA is the Largest Auto Club in the world, and as a former 17 year employee, I can attest for their service and benefits...I agree its presence is not yet visible in Louisiana, but that's about to change because the Auto Club of Southern California (largest of the Auto Clubs) purchased AAA of Missouri (the A/Club that owns/operates in Kentucky, Missouri and Louisiana) in 2005, but agreed to wait 5 years before "taking over" so to speak...currently you must drive to Shreveport to visit a local AAA office, but it's worth the trip. If you want insurance, then a "emergency road service" card is not the tool to use, rather, purchase insurance (auto/home/life/renters/waterc raft) from the Club. If you want travel - they got it too..49.00 is the road service (4 calls a year; locksmith reimbursement etc) and gets you the opportunity to purchase all your insurance/financial needs. Each state (or combo of states has a Auto Club, sanctioned by the AAA in Heathrow, Fl)..and by the way, Auto Club of Southern California was created in 1902 by 7 men who wanted to form a "motor club"...they were originally called "California Highway Patrol" and sold the name to the now famous Law Enforcement agency...but don't switch/take my word for it...there is a reason that AAA is the largest motor club in the world :)

I'd be remiss to not point out that this state is in bad need of insurance competition, which will also be visible once the 5-year waiting period expires. You will not see a better company with a more competitive rate until you are allowed the opportunity to purchase from Auto Club. okay, now I'm off the soap box and I've done my "good deed" for my old company!

Original, NMC is the largest independently owned motor club in America...Sorry I didnt make that clear..AAA is not independently owned....I am not saying that AAA is bad because I'm sure they are good at what they do..but I know when I compare their services, NMC has much more different type services to offer in their plan...Get your AAA policy out and compare them with the benefits of NMC at www.nmcfs.com/3117..Thanks
