First off the USDA is a Program funded by government "grants" not "federal tax" dollars You can look that up at usda.gov . if u dont recall they use to print actual dollars that resembled th us currency which also was funded by government funding not Federal funding. So im to assume that wager would b lost. most people defend their livliehood and jobs thinking they support welfare and foodstamp programs from first hand experience i can assure those people all these monies are, are just fluff monies from a grant from a government program not federal taxes. so i dont get why people care about their jobs and how they support so "called baby back hogs from chilis" because THEY DO NOT, my aunt works for tad so please refrain from your slurs. Second off why feel the need to say anything about criminals or defrauders, the federal and government defrauds you on a daily basis why dont you go and talk that mess to an agency who is faceless as u put it and see what reaction you would get, people just like you should direct ur attention to agencies who allow themselves to b defrauded. The message im trying to convey is that people should be helpful not greedy because if the world came to an end an the poor man had knowledge of how to survive the rich man would then be kissing the defrauders ass with dsl lips without thought point blank. Plain and simple rich people will take any action neccessary to get more rich a poor man will do anything neccessary to survive, the only difference the rich man gets away with murder the poor man gets thrown in jail, how fair is that it should b equal for all so that nobody bitches about whos rich or whos poor.

As long as the poor continue to underestimate and misunderstand the ways of the "rich people" their lot in life of being poor will continue. But to fully understand one must rid themselves of the emotions of jealousy, greed and resentment...and fear.

Mommy, where does our food come from?

Shut up kid, food is free in this country because the “government” MAKES money.

(no tax dollars were harmed in the marking of this post)

I also bet u believe in "wmd", the government has destroyed lives and all u care about is ur dam job earnings being stricken to feed the poor for shame ... when did it ever become that my friend shall become my enemy.. over a useless dollar! Ur life means more to me and i dont even know u u

While I can truly appreciate your empassioned eloquence, I stand by this point: I have always wanted to be independent, and from a young age, I made all the moves I could to keep me in a position where I only needed to rely on ME. Education, accepting menial jobs to keep the money coming in. Saving, scrimping, denying myself so my children could have what they need--I have done it! I've had a setback or two, and I have been a benefits recipient in my youth and broke, but I have pretty much been independent my whole life...married, single, divorced, whatever state life found me in. You are asking too much of me to not resent people who basically take away my opportunity to have a standard of living I have worked to have and desire....only so they can lay up, get drunk, loaded, spread gossip and make trouble for people who don't embrace their lifestyle choice. Heavy taxation of working people is why working people who deserve to be homeowners have to rent and either send their young adult children to public technical school or the local public generic university in their hometown. Don't ask me to LIKE IT!

Well i appreciate the fact ur not being disrespectful here is my email [email protected] Email me from time to time. Although i do honor ur respect dont forget there r people who do not live by those standards, i my self have been recieving ssi since 97 for psychological problems although i have been transitioning from being "well" it is hard out there in this economy for people such as i to find a job let a lone a career with little to no experience To become a full time employee. Im 29 and have seen alot in my days and work my ass off under the table like the beaner i am. I do understand the fact of working hard and wish there can be more i can do but people do not recognize the fact i work hard for my family Seeing im sucking ssi and working my ass off under th table. Its emberassing to say but i still have bare to minimal food at the end of the month Because i dont want further labeling if i were to try n get food stamps or aid or Etc, however just dont forget there are people like you like me dont be gullable to jut one side Or standard and realize it is hard to get off the couch when a check has you stuck between a rock and hard place. For me my choices are bare but i dont allow them to be chosen. all im saying peoPle become dependent on bare none and its up to them to decide how they go about their lives and expanding whether its wrong or right, if u were in the position u would make the same choices to survive wrong or right!

stop depending on others to support you. it's because of people like you that people that really need benefits can't get them.

I'm pretty sure if she would've come on this site asking about abortions, so she wouldn't need all your precious tax money, you would still crucify her. You people are sad.

Some are sad, some are just sick and tired of having something they worked so hard for, snatched from them and given to people with NO appreciation of its value. That's not sad..that is TRUTH. "Tax Money" came from somewhere..namely, people who have to pay taxes! It didn't just magically appear on those pretty blue benefit cards with the Louisiana logo on them. Someone had to bust their hump to make that dollar happen! The people paying the taxes are not the culprits. Let every working man or woman stop doing what they're doing and sit down on their ass like the others, and this state will go under within a WEEK.

The food stamp office should be able to show you in writing the cut-off amounts that make you ineligible. The law should be very clear. As far as what you might do, I suggest both of you give up your high price phones, cable, smokes, etc. - at least until you can again afford them and food. Just like you finding money to be tight righ now, I find paying high taxes unpleasant.

Yall need to stop calling these men your "fiances" and when they sniff the first sign of trouble with your FINANCES, they want the government to support you while they have sex with you and receive free housekeeping and childcare services from you. Don't you understand you are being used? When will you get a clue. Is living alone so horrible you're willing to let a man make a fool of you? If they were really someone worth marrying, you wouldn't have to worry about temporary help; they would be man enough to supply it.

I have a question out there for the women who have done this. Currently I am living here in LA and I receive medicaid as well as foodstamps. I receive these benefits because I am in school and used to have a part time job, but was unfortunately laid off. I am about 5 months pregnant right now and am on the verge of relocating to a different state with my fiance. I have worked thus far into my pregnancy but because of the extreme back pain I will not have a job. Although I do plan on going back to work part time 6 wks after the baby is born.
My fiance makes about 515 dollars a week and according to the state we will be living in, we will not be eligible for foodstamps. I am tempted to put that I live with a room mate but at the same time I am sure the foodstamp office will ask how I am making ends meet and I will not have an answer as I dont have any income, but I do have some savings.
My question is how can I live w/ my fiance and still receive benefits. I know there has to be some other kind of way around the system.

GET I JOB !!! And stop being a parasite for the system that is getting broke for these Kind of people!!!

say you live together but prepare meals separate & will give him about 50$ a week for staying there.
you're not married to him & not sure if the relationship will work out but he is providing with a place to stay & you will give him some money to stay there.
yes he will need to write a letter stating this & sign his name & give his phone number in case your FS case worker should call to verify.

Um. You're wrong. It's just a fact: the majority of Americans on food assistance (food stamps) are Caucasian (white)- and the majority of them live in red states, with Republican governors. It's just a fact. You can't "disagree" with a fact, whether or not you personally have only seen "blacks" on them where you happen to live.

<quoted text>Haha hilarious! Whites--get majority of food stamps while paying two house notes---wow I'd love to live with that white family. Ur horribly WRONG--It is majority of the blacks I c n Walmart sliding that card like its a credit card just to walk out to 20's holding their gold spinning wheels with a loud a$$ system n the car rattling the trunk while they get high. Don't hate on the whites bc they chose to buy a house instead of twenty inch rims and drugs. Get on!!! Shew fly!

First off.
That would not be breaking the law if you live in NH.
I live with my BF and I get paid for 20 hours a week which is what is required for the abawd program they have to even receive food stamps (unless your under other things like ssi or disability) and I pay half the rent, my own phone and half the cable.
Just be honest you dont HAVE to lie I hate people who assume that. If you actually cannot afford food, you will receive help.
Hope this helps :)
P.S. the'll want your man's info too on how much he pays on his half.

I am sorry times are tough for you, right now. But, you are young there is every reason to believe your prospects will improve. Here are some things you can do to make things better. Two years is a long time, but you got through it. Don't give up. 1. Don't break the law; solve your problems legally. Don't commit food stamp fraud. 2.Confront your somewhat selfish fiance who doesn't understand that when a man proposes marriage that he is accepting some responsibility for his bride-to-be's well being. It would be better for him to get a second job to support the two of you than for you to commit fraud. In my parents day, a man was ready to do this. Now we have men/males who embrace the female attributes of frailty, passivity and dependency. This is not the first and only time you will see this manifest if you marry him. 3. Use foodbanks, community meal program, utility bill assistance to make it by. 4. Find out where the Free Clinic is in your community and talk to anyone there in charge about you getting low cost or free treatment for your asthma, including an inhaler. There are times in life when we are able to live well, and times when we will be able to just live and make it through. Unlawful recipients of government benefits lives their life in a state of suspended childhood with the Government as Mama and Daddy. They don't have to face economic hardship because someone else tends to them. Their life is comfortable but through no effort or hard work on their part, simply through cheating and lying. Not everyone gets away with the fraud. You could finish school, get a good job and then lose it if your prospective employer finds benefit fraud in your background. Just some things for you to think about.
