Natchitoches Probation & Parole Waste of Tax Dollars

How long is Gov Jindal going to put up with the waste of our hard earned tax dollars at this office. I routinely see the Administrator and his office personnel taking extended lunches in the Natchitoches area. It is also my understanding that he has hired supervisors that live outside of his district and he supplies them with take home state vehicles and state fuel cards. One these supervisors drives daily from Minden to Natchitoches on our dime.

Other offices do not supply supervisors with take home vehicles, however, this was a special deal made by the administrator. Qualified people living in Natchitoches were passed over for these promotions.

This type of waste and good ole boy politics should not be tolerated. The use of state gas and vehicles to commute to an office job should NOT be tolerated.

I bet every tax paying citizen would like to be provided a vehicle and unlimited supply of gasoline to get to and from work.

I for one am contacting my representative and senator and will pass this along to Gov Jindal as well.

I'm logging on right now and reporting this BS! I have to drive my own car to work and buy my own gas in these hard times SO SHOULD THEY!

OK I have done some quick math......

150 miles per day = 750 miles per week........ MINDEN to NATCHITOCHES - 5 Days a week.

750 miles ÷ 15mpg = 50 gallons (if they get that good fuel economy.... they drive those Dodge Hemi Chargers not a Prius..... may not be that good might be less)

Do they really need a HEMI?

50 gal. X $3.75 =$187.50 per week or $750 per month or $9000.00 per year!

This doesn't include increased oil changes and other maintenance and wear and tear on our vehicle paid for with tax dollars!

Should we the tax payers supplement the income of a civil servant by paying his transportation cost to an office job?

I don't understand why this is allowed. I think I know the person you are referring to and he had a good job in Minden. Was there a reason he left to go to Natchitoches?

Tell me more about these missing guns? Who was in charge of them? How were they stolen? Why weren't they locked up and secure? Are they now on the street? What if someone is killed with one of these weapons like a child? Who will be responsible for that happening? WE NEED ANSWERS!

Yes there was, he left for a promotion and had a deal with the regional boss and the boss over the natchitoches office that he would get a take home car if he got the job. They wanted him to get the supervisors job because there was a black officer in the natchitoches office that was just as qualified but they didn't want him to get the supervisors job so they talked this guy into putting in for the supervisors job so they could give it to him. He told them he would have to have a car because of the long distance between his home and the office and they gave him one! Plain and simple! They didn't want to promote the black man so they end run around it!

This simply isn't true. Had nothing to do with race and there were no such promises. I suggest that all of these rumors and speculation stop immediately!

And they won't give the next supervisor position to a qualified Natchitoches Agent because both the Administrator and Regional are scared of competent people. They have to surround themselves with flunkies!

The Natchitoches office and all of Region 1 have become a joke around the state. The Regional Director is out if touch with reality!

He has ultimately caused all of this dissension! Maybe his lack of a social life have clouded his judgment. Who knows but he shouldn't be allowed to be a dictator! Nor should the administrator of the Natchitoches Office.
