She was the best!! She took such good care of her customers and always had a smile. We always look forward to seeing her everytine we go there.

That place has gone downhill fast since the owner is not there anymore. And if he will allow those idiots to fire her after so many years of dedication, I will not be back!!

Okay I'm going to lay it all out for all of you before people start talking lies about the situation.
A waitress who has been working at the restaurant for 30 years got fired for a VERY good reason. The waitress is telling everyone that she got fired for talking to a customer about the salad bar and how her coworkers are lazy. This is absolutely not the reason she got fired. If you think about it, it makes NO SENSE whatsoever.
The waitresses at Sea & Sirloin split tips and have split tips for a few years. The reason behind this is because when they weren't splitting tips and had sections they would fight over the tables and who got to wait on what customer. This caused an extreme amount of confusion and disagreement. Another reason the waitresses split tips is because on most nights they are so extremely busy that they all work together, therefore it makes more sense to split tips. Am I wrong? Also, I do not see what the big deal is because even with splitting the tips they each make $200-300 a night. The waitress who got fired was caught numerous times pocketing tips and not putting them in the tip bucket to split with the other waitresses. The funny thing is that family of the waitress who got fired even admitted to the fact that the lady has been doing it for years.
Many people are now choosing to act like children and boycott Sea & Sirloin over something that they have no clue about. People have been loyal to this restaurant for years and have loved the food all this time. For people to no longer want to go to a restaurant based off the sole fact that one waitress is gone is a little absurd. The food is still the same and has been since they first opened. The new owner did not change a single thing nor did the new management.
So before people start spreading rumors and boycotting a restaurant they need to get their facts straight and know the true story.

I always enjoyed giving my business to a family owned business like S&S. However there has been changes lately. Not substantial changes but changes none the less. The salad bar is not as fresh, and the portions seem smaller. The general atmosphere seems tense.

And I am a very generous tipper when I get good service and with Weezie we always got great service. I am angry to know that my generosity has to SPLIT with some dingbat that does an awful job. And there are several of those there who do not deserve the same tip.

This lady has been a dedicated employee for 30 years, you just don't see that anymore. She works tirelessly on her feet for hours on end and does it without a retirement plan or health benefits and would probably blow away the other waiters with her tips each night. It's disgusting that she was fired after so many years of hard work. Hell she's got her own clientele. People come just to get the personal and GOOD service from this dear lady. And what a shame that the stupid "new" managers have no appreciation for what she brings to the restaurant every day. F

I loved this lady and always requested her and will not give my money to any establishment who has no respect for an employee. And I don't want my tip split with anyone anyway. That's stupid

Thirty years and you fired her. She should get more of the tips you should be ashamed No I will not be back i bet not many people knew she was having to spilt tips with most of those very unprofessional waitresses. Not only was sea and sirloin an institution , so was she. I expect this place will go down down down.
The food isint as good anymore and you hove taken the only other good person you had away. I hope you go down like a turd in a punch bowl. How cruel

He should have CLEANED house when he bought the place. I also think there are a lot of misconceptions regarding all of this. One other thing if I was fired I sure as hell wouldn't want to go back to a place because people are"boycotting". I really think his family has a lot more to worry about than this petty mess.

You people are truly ignorant. It's truly a shame.. 8 out of 10 restaurants split tips and you just don't realize it. Every single waitress at Sea & Sirloin does an amazing job. And if you want to know the truth, Louise is tired and worn down. She can't do near the job she used to be able to do. And the so called "dingbats" would make twice the amount as Louise if they weren't splitting tips, so in reality Louise makes more money by splitting tips. You are just too ignorant to see that. The ladies all help each other so it only makes sense to split tips. And another thing, how would all you people who "love" Louise feel if they didn't split tips and had their own section and you couldn't sit in Louise's section because it was full?? Think about it.. It only makes sense to split tips. Ha, and you think you are making some sort of statement by boycotting Sea & Sirloin, but you are only hurting yourself by not being able to enjoy such good food.

If the S&S in Campti is anyting like the one in Natchitoches they need to clean house starting with the owners, the managers and the employees.

Lousy place serving 2 star food with 4 star prices.

I'll go for a $5.99 Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity any day of the week before I will a $22 plate of deep fried catfish any day of the week

You sound so ignorant. Tip splitting is outdated program, that restaurants or customers do not benefit from. It encourages bad service and impersonal wait staff/customer relationships.

The food has gone way downhill despite you saying there were no changes! If Louise was stealing tips, had she been properly warned and documented for it?

Outdated? Then why is it that most restaurants use this program?

All I can say is it will never be as good as when Ronnie and Diane ran it. Started off good for a months, but..I'm sorry always enjoyed eating there. I've owned businesses before and if your not there to run it the way it should be run your can't hire it down.

I was a waitress for 20 years..a good one...spliting tips is a horrible program..your good waitress's work their butt off, while yur lazy ones get paid to do nothing ..all they do is get in the way and stress others out, which causes a tense atmosphere...it does not take a genius to figure that one out..make them work for their own tips and you will see a difference in their performance

I'm with get it right on this one! I have known Louise for the entire time she has worked there. She has always waited on my family when we've come in. But it's true that she has made more by splitting tips and her service has in fact declined... Sad but true. You can boycott the restaurant all day long but the fact remains that people will continue to go there bc the food is phenomenal, management is fantastic, and it's tradition. How many of you commenting are even in a management position? Really! I'm sure it was a hard decision for management to make to release her being as how she is tradition there too. Also, keeping her tips was wrong period! So just take the firing and move on.

Gary, I totally agree with everything you are saying...I am no longer a waitress and own my own business now..I always tip at least $20 if I get good service..I am like you..I tip the one who waits on my table, not the lazy one who is failing to even fill the drink at the neighboring table..tsk tsk..evidentally the ones making these split the tips rules, have never had to support a family on tips!
