A lot of people are asking " where was God " now this statement is not saying that God let this tragic event happen . I am simply saying that some of these schools have chased God out of their schools . We as Americans need to reevaluate our policies ! We are so afraid to hurt someone else's feeling but we tend to forget what built our nation ? " IN GOD WE TRUST ! " what happen to that saying ? The pledge of allegiance what happen to that ? Do you see what I'm trying to put out there ? This tragic event was very tragic in itself and I pray that it never happens again ! But I was trying to answer the question that some people are asking " WHERE WAS GOD " when all this was going on ? If I made anyone upset I apologize these are just my way of answering that question . Again I am not saying that since some people chased God out of their schools that this was the reason this happened . I will continue to pray for the families of the deceased and I hope the schools that still allow prayers and the pledge of allegiance will continue to do so and not fall to the communistic ways of today .

Never more true. When you push God out, EVIL takes his place.

In 1993, William Bennett released his Index of Leading Cultural Indicators. His evaluation of the problem in the past was “Over the years teachers have been asked to identify the top problems in America's public schools. In 1940 teachers identified talking out of turn; chewing gum; making noise; running in halls; cutting in line; dress code infractions; and littering.
When teachers were asked the same question in 1990, it was a completely different assessment they identified drug abuse; alcohol abuse; suicide; rape; pregnancy; robbery; and assault.” In the last several years we can also add terroristic threatening, mass murder.

The more we know God, I find the less we tend to wonder where He is and what He is up to, because we are close enough to Him to understand, at least in part, for the journey in this life.

The more salient question might be:

"Where was this young man's conscience, that he saw fit to slaughter innocent children?" Did his conscience die, did it become seared through a series of the young man's evil moral choices and compromises?

Let's take a break on blaming the educators and the government for the condition our schools are in, and let us remember that WE, the parents and responsible adult role models in the community are our children's first TEACHERS and whatever discipline and order that is present in our respective homes are our children's first encounter with law, justice and GOVERNMENT.

But to tell our children that he or she cannot pray or say " Merry Christmas " or say the " Pledge of allegiance " is outrageous ! We instill , GOD , FEEDOM AND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS in our children but it is wrong to exercise that right here in America ? This is not a blame game this is about morality , what happen to our morals ? When people chase God out and then ask where was he is a no brainer of a question to answer . We as Americans have lost our moral values and our way of life . What I say is , if people don't like our way of life here in the U. S. A. GET OUT and live in a country that suits them !

While that is true,I hardly think this boy learned anything about killing children, from his parents. You can look at people who commit these sort of crimes and find most have one thing in common, pure evil.

People have been killed by gunmen in mass shootings in churches and even in Amish school houses - and I don't think it's because they've taken God out of that place or this country. I think it's an absence of accountability, morals, guidance and a soul. There is no justification whatsoever for that kind madness other than just pure evilness and insanity. Crazy people will always find a way to do crazy things. That's the work of the devil. It's a lack of God in the heart.

What he wrote is not original. He ripped it off from another forum. This same post has been re-posted hundreds of times by different people.

No matter who wrote the words they still mean the same. WE TOOK GOD OUT OF OUR LIVES and WE NEED TO PUT HIM BACK. Also to "Grownup" if you would read the bible and come to understand it more, you will come to know that it is a whole lot more. God has been around a lot longer than anyone of us and will continue to be around if we would just open the door and let him back in.

God was not run out of schools by the atheist nor the liberals. God was run off by the weak. God's follower's that did not have the courage to stand up to the moron's called liberals (democrats, or better sais, low informed citizen), to stand up reguardless of the cost, either monies or community standing). most people of christain value's will not cause waves so therefore loose the battle and become slaves to the few !

There’s not a war on Christmas or are we persecuting Christians in this country. Most schools say the pledge and Merry Christmas all the time. You can pray in school as an individual and no one will stop you. What the problem is, is you wanting to force your beliefs down people’s throats. What gives you the right to brainwash other people’s children by indoctrinating them at public institution. That’s the place for churches and the home. No one is telling you to leave your belief in God home, just don’t preach your version of religion at school. And if you don’t like the fact that we have the right to practice whatever form of religion the way we want to, then you GET THE HELL OUT and move to Iran where your intolerant ideology will be appreciated.

You said “Again I am not saying that since some people chased God out of their schools that this was the reason this happened”
If that is so, then why did God abandon little children at their school?
