As Starbucks shareholders waded through gun protesters for an annual meeting this week, coffee connoisseurs in Natchez had a more peaceful pick-me-up. But even a Southern coffee shop isn't opinion free when it comes to the topic of openly carrying loaded weapons.

Mississippi needs to get on board with other states and Open Carry. You got use to cussing on TV, then got use to sex on TV, it's time to get use to seeing weapons in the open......

This is all a matter of which way the 'pendulum' swings.

You see? Back in the Founder's days, there wasn't much discussion about the matter because back then there were no telephones, no city cops, and no idiot politicians willing to make you beg for your rights. The politicians back then knew better ...

Later, the more 'gentile set'(the filthy, stinking rich) came along and because they didn't want YOU to be able to defend yourself, why they pretended that since THEY didn't carry such horrible, terrible instruments of death (their body guards did all that), then neither should you.

So, people being what they are and attempting to 'emulate their betters,' they tended to copy everything the filthy, stinking rich did, including buying everything in sight in order to 'keep up with the Joneses.'

That included copying the conspicuous consumption of the worst kinds of food and other things.

Well anyway, because it was 'seen' as 'proper' by the majority that carrying guns for self-defence was 'cowardly,' why many people —by dint of peer pressure— caved into the demands of the idiots in the majority.

Heaven help that a man or woman should resort to carrying a pistol, for they would be avoided as MORAL OUTCASTS and denounced as 'trouble makers!'

So, you see? The elites set the pace, and the less than perspicacious followed suit because they wanted to emulate what they THOUGHT was a successful course of action, but was in fact nothing less than a subtle —yet intended— way of controlling the hoi polloi: The commoners.

The elites —the filthy, stinking wealthy— are afraid of the rest of us, for they know that they've cheated the common man out of his just due, and they KNOW that one day there will be an accounting, so what better way to avoid that accounting than to convince the commoners that they should NEVER keep and bear arms?

Further yet, they've worked overtime to encode into law just those intents.

If you're perceptive, you'll have figured out the rest of the story: How the filthy, stinking wealthy have it in mind to turn us into a pack of communists so that they might better control us.

Oh no! We better do away with all of our rights because they might bother some people if they are exercised.

Excellent point: Way too many people figure that they have a right to 'not be bothered.'

If looks could kill, eh?

Worse than that, many people believe they're entitled to perfect little lives free of any tragedy. They think they can legislate their right to their perfect little lives.

Today political correctness and zero tolerance has invaded the fabric of society.

How I miss the old "shit happens" days of old.

Being in CA you never hear quotes like this "Our deputies, unfortunately, cannot be everywhere at all times,” Mayfield said.“We support responsible people carrying a weapon for self defense." Even in your home you are told to call the police for help.

You're a govt and police suckup who goes around promoting political correctness and zero tolerance for your version of gun control (after you lay down your disguise of being a gun owner of hundreds and hundreds of guns).

Once again you miss the mark. I do not run around advocating zero tolerance or politically correctness. I’ve never claimed to own hundreds and hundreds of guns, I own close to 100 guns.

Tory did the police spy on you last night?

You said it yourself: "cops never spy on a gun owner considered insane by an antigun nut who calls himself eternal cynic".

I just think those hoplophobe fools are idiots.

The most common idiocy I hear is "why do you "need" to carry that gun.

It is as if they are too stupid to recgnize what they say.

WHy should anyone have to have a "need" to exercise any right.

Except the need to ignore the fools who think you have to have a need to exercise a right.

Unfortunately, those fools are allowed to vote.

If only they had to take training and get a permit to be "allowed" to vote!

Or reproduce for that matter.

Heck, I want to know why those fools "need" to vote!

Political Correctness is a syndrome that many Americans suffer from. It is exhibited by an unwavering belief that it is indeed possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

You mean you can’t pick up a turd by the clean end? What am I to do now?

I do enjoy annoying the politically correct fools of the world.

ooo ooo.

I heard the best joke so far this year!

Did you hear about the Wahhabi Muslim Suicide Hotline?

When you call, the voice of Osama bin Ladin says, "praise be to Allah, do you know how to drive a truck?"

Man, I about ran off the road when I heard that!
