Yes they harass the ones who are actually trying and do nothing to the ones who need it! I'm all for having some kind of rules but EVERYONE should have to abide by them! So what do they do with all our dues and do they make everyone pay? They raised them and I haven't seen any improvements! Oooohhh we have a few lights around the place... What's the rest of it going to? It might actually be better without the lights... then we won't have to see the trash at night! Lol! I don't want to hear their crap about how they work and don't have time... Blah blah blah... Then they shouldn't have taken the responsibility! That's why I don't participate... Because I don't have time and don't want to deal with a few individuals on the HOA! But I do pay my dues on time and that is what is required... NOW THEY NEED TO DO THEIR JOB!!!

It is all a joke they have property owners that have never paid and never in contract to pay and others do. If your on there good side (ass kisser) you can do what you want, losers. I say disband the HOA.

How come you guys don't attend these meetings? I just attended one and it felt like they wanted me outta there. This is wrong. At least one person from every lot should go. We need to know what they talk about and present our complaints. I just got my due and it says its the 2nd which is not true. Do they do this to automatically charge late fees?

If the current group of people aren't doing anything then run for a spot on the HOA or POA. Thats the only way change will occur. You have to make it happen or the status quoe will stay in place.

Back when I was able I tried but was basically pushed away! That's is what I pay dues for... So a job will be done! In a city not everyone can be on the city council but the taxpayers pay taxes for things to be run properly, upkeep, etc. SAME HERE!! Are you on the HOA?

NO, but I have similar problems with my HOA. So my neighbor and I are planning to run for a spot on the board. We both work long hours but if you want to make a difference in anything some sacrifices may have to be done. Good luck in turning things around in HOA.

A travel trailer is probably nicer than some on my street! Its not the ones that are trying to be better that bother me... I know how it is and what it costs! Its taken us time to ge ours to what it is today. But, I seriously think some of these people are trying to be trashy! Seriously spray painting your address on what could have been a nice rock... O yes and leaving your trash can at the road all week because your to lazy to roll it back to your house but not to walk trash out to it... Umm HELLO you would think you would have learned your lesson the first time all the stray dogs in this place dumped and scattered it for blocks! O yes but its okay because you're not going to pick it up anyway! LOL... Sorry just had to get some anger out!

I gotta say the spray-painted rock is pretty cool for shits and grins. Always makes me smile on the way home from school. But yeah way too many stray dogs. I can't even go running because of them.

Can anyone give me any advice. I just moved my mobile home and wasn't aware that it had to be 2005 or newer according to the restrictions. My lot is not trashy but I wouldn't like to take it out I bought it and paid to have it moved. It took me a while to save up for this.

The reason our dues are so high is to compensate for those that don't pay their at all - ever. They say they'll foreclose if dues aren't paid, but they don't have the money to actually take legal action against anyone. As for the trash and not mowing, read the deed restrictions carefully. It doesn't specify in definitive terms exactly what has to be done to comply. In other words, the language in the restrictions doesn't say that your property has to be mowed. It alludes to it, but it doesn't say it. Same goes for many other things in the restrictions. The architectural committee, a one man show in the beginning, was given over to some of his buddies, most of which still comprise the board. These folks decide what's good and bad, and what's a valid rule and what rules they want to change. That's why many of their properties appear to be in direct contradiction to the deed restrictions that you may have a copy of. Recently, they turned over the operation to a "professional" management service, at a significant cost, and we can all attest to how much good that has done. I've been griping about this since the group was formed, and the foreclosure threats began (specific to property taxes not being sent to QC offices). Every communication they put in the mail manages to threaten foreclosure, yet we're supposed to embrace the tenet of the cause and band together with them to form a better community. MmmmmmHmmmmm. Most of the communities that I know of that pay HOA dues, also have a playground, a pool in some cases, security, etc. As someone mentioned, we have a few street lights. I don't know how in God's name they can repeatedly tout the expense of these lights, when I have the exact same light on my pole that the power company charges less than $10 a month for. Even if they have 50 lights, that's only $500 a month or $6000 a year. Each street here in Po-Town should generate nearly that in dues each year. That begs the question that someone else already mentioned, "Where does the money go?" For the record, as "members" we are absolutely guaranteed the right by law, to review the accounting records of the association.
