the state wont get rid of helmet law! It is tied into road money. Its just like a seat belt law!

If you want to ride without a helmet dgo for it. its only a $50 ticket

Ride more often in KY

What a lovely sentiment there, douchebag. Just the fact that you would even think to write such idiocy says a lot more about you than it does about any biker who chooses to ride without a helmet. People like you make me want to cry for the state of humanity.

When a biker without a helmet lays his bike down and gets brain damage then the taxpayers have to pay for lifelong care once insurance runs out. That is taking money out of my pocket to have his butt wiped by a live in nurse. I would rather have that money go for diapers for my own baby's butt. I can't believe someone wants the freedom to take money from me to have their butt wiped by anyone other than themselves...perhaps they already have brain damage.

Lastly, I know of a teen who had a biker sideswipe her car and lay his bike down and die because of his own poor biking abilities. He was not wearing a helmet. The rest of her life she will have a certain level of trauma that the man died and has been to therapy for it for a while now. There is a good chance that if the man survived because of helmet use that her life long pain and guilt would not be nearly as severe...even though it was the bikers fault. So bikers who choose not to wear helmets are completely selfish.

Freedom is the right to make horrible personal decisions.
Sarcastic or not, this is the dumbest post I have read in a while. Maybe an 18 wheeler will run you over and we can all laugh at the big pile of crap that is left behind.

Yea, because looking at your post, it seems that you need some more cranial trauma. You seem to need remedial English classes, more then another knock on that idiot box of yours. But, have fun on that bike!

I agree that Bikers should have the Freedom to Choose. I have ridden many years with and without a Helmet Is it Smart to ride without one? Probably not, but it should still be a Choice. For those of you making all the sarcastic remarks about Bikers, its plain to see you have NO Clue about the Lifestyle. A while back I rode to Sturgis with a Heart Surgeon, a Nuclear Scientist and about 12 others and None of us wore helmets. The Majority of bikers are upstanding Citizens who probably have more invested in their bikes than most of you have in your cars and like I said should have a Choice. None of us wanna Crash, but it is a Proven fact that the majority of accidents involve cars that Don't See us! I will tell you I'd rather leave this world from a Bike Crash than Growing OLD in a Nursing Home!!!!!

Let those who ride decide? When I "ride" in an vehicle as a driver or passenger I have to (by law) belt up so quit whining. "Riding" on public streets is a privilege not a Right. I also "ride" a full suspension mountain bike (a cycle with no gasoline motor) on road and off road and I am aware enough of the dangers both on and off road to wear my helmet. In fact, one of and probably the most dangerous threats are the "tough guy" dirt bags like the Williams terd that threatened to swerve out a moron "biker"... Hey Williams "tough guy" do you swerve out people on bicycles not wearing a helmet. It is not required,in TN, for people over 12 to wear a helmet on bicycles. Are 12 year olds and younger also your targets, you pos. But I guess that a "tough guy" like you in your 3K lb vehicle can take on people on a 300 lb motorcycle or a 30 lb bicycle. Know this, you and your ilk are why I have a carry permit and if I meet up with a pos like Williams it will not be an accident when a double tap finds center mass...And by the way I know how to spell helmet, unlike the postÂ…Williams, in the whole vast configuration of things, I'd say you were nothing but a scurvy little spider! And that goes for your little dog, too!...

I hope you continue to grow w/o fear 'til you die, old and gray. I'm glad I had a helmet on, but I still ride w/o now and again. It is a small price to pay for the good of society. Don't wear the helmet... be free. A lot of us do. Just be ready to run. We do. Beieve me, just before anarchy and martial law begins will be one of the free-est times of our lives. Enjoy "NOW".
