I don't agree with alot of the comments stating that women should have to have sex with their husbands or be arrested or the wife should take better "care" of the husband. These comments are stupid. The REAL crime and the reason prostitution is illegal is as follows.

These guys hook up with the prostitutes, many which are infected with HIV/AIDS, then take it home to their spouses, girlfriends, life partners. Since HIV takes years to manifest and people appear healthy, they could unknowingly infect many many innocent people.

Also, some of the prostitutes are being abused themselves by pimps, some are young runaways. They need to have a better life than having sex with strangers.

Its sad that a person would have such low self esteem that they could find themselves in this situation.

So, the Johns are supporting a corrupt industry that feeds on weak adults and sometimes children.

In closing, those that say its not a crime and what takes place between 2 adults is their business should realize that it reaches far past those 2 adults. The hookers may have children not being attended, drug addiction is rampant, women being beaten by their pimps for not collecting enough money, and then the innocent loved ones of the Johns suffer as well.
