It doesn't matter if it SHOULD be legal or not. All that matters is whether it IS legal or not.

The poor baby was lonely. Well wah-dee-effing-wah. If he had to stoop to hiring a prostitute, then he's a loser.

damon dietz is a really good guy. it was valentines day and he was lonely. give the guy a break. prostitution should not be illegal. it may be immoral, but it's their body. it's a way for someone to make a living because the government is sending jobs away.

Prostitution bad.
Marriage Bad.
Fidelity good.
Every time a wife refused to have sex with her husband she should be fined...
Everytime a wife witholds sex because of finance, or she did not get a gift for her birthday or sweetest day or valentine's day or any of the other pay for play holiday's the man should call the police and accuse his wife of prostitution.
Under the law he would be within his rights to do so..
Have at it gentlemen and flip the script.

Hey MORON. Prostitution, and patronizing a prostitute, ARE crimes.

Gawd. Are you REALLY that stupid?

What part of "prostitute" do you not understand?

They didn't go out to talk, take pictures, etc.

You never got out of 4th grade, did you?
pragmatist101 wrote:
How do we know they were visiting strictly for prostitution? They could have gone just for companionship,to talk, take pictures, go to dinner or dancing etc. These types of entrapment cases hardly ever stick in court. It is supposed to be a deterrent by causing embarrassment. I find it hard to believe people support the shady and deceitful tactics used by the police. Why don't they focus on REAL crime? Must be an election year or something. Anyway, it is not illegal to meet with an escort and being an escort is not illegal. There was no "victim" here except the guys who were lied to and had bogus charges brought up against them.

You obviously lead a very sad, pathetic life if you think that giving a gift is payment for sex.

And if you don't see the risk of boinking a disease-ridden skank, you're either a retard or a disease-ridden skank yourself.
Where is the crime wrote:
What's is the problem with you self-rightous people? The world would be a much better place if more people had sexual relatiions. There are no victims when two consenting adults agree to engage in sexual activities, even if it for money. How many feel like they are essentially paying for sex at Valentines Day when they buy gifts, dinner or tickets to a show in hope of getting SOMEthing in return?

You don't have to be perfect to know right from wrong. Nobody's perfect, only a lowlife defends lowlife behavior.

I will NOT given him a break, and I'm in the majority on this.
whatever wrote:
give him a break..nobody is perfect and you can still be moral and teach morals even if you are an imperfect person. Are you perfect? Are you the standard for perfect morals? No, but you would still teach your children about morals wouldn't you?

It still amazes me that we spend so much time and money busting consenting adults for something like this.

You're not as smart as you think you are. Today's law enforcement agencies can do both.

Sounds like you can only get prostitutes, so you defend the practice.

I guess its a lot easier to bust hookers and their johns than to go out and chase after "real" criminals.Prostitution is a victimless crime, the only reason busts like this go on is because money is changing hands and the government is`nt getting any.Plus pressure from the "Bible thumpers"who always want to ram their ideas of morality down everyone elses throats.

"High class and choosy"? If you and your pathetic philosophy "knew" them, they were neither.

I'm sure you EXACTLY what it's like to be such a loser that you have to pay for companionship in any form.

You're still an idiot.

<quoted text>It`s obvious you have`nt read all of my previous posts or you would understand that there is a difference between "street walkers" like you see on murfreesboro rd and an "escort" Street walkers are a danger and i would`nt be with one if they paid me!! Escrts are a different matter and the ones i`ve known are high class and choosey about who they do business with. And in answer to your question,no i`am not an "idiot"and i do know what i`am talking about.

I don't agree with alot of the comments stating that women should have to have sex with their husbands or be arrested or the wife should take better "care" of the husband. These comments are stupid. Prostitution is illegal, the prostitute should be arrested as well as the "customer". This is how diseases spread. It's sick. Well and it's sad if you have to pay someone for sex instead having a real relationship with someone.

And for the record I did not say I was in favor of Prostitution. I simply said it was a moral decision. We spend so much time trying to catch the street walkers that we could be spending somewhere else. Reesec yes they spread disease but with any luck it will kill them so we dont have to worry about their sick arses anymore.

It probably will kill them or someone, like that serial killer who went around for years killing prostitutes.

Oh shut up. You're stupid. If you defend lowlife behavior, you're a lowlife. Expect ridicule, whether public or private.

You're not smart enough to form an adult opinion. You defend lowlife behavior, so you're a lowlife.

You're dismissed.

The REAL crime and the reason prostitution is illegal is as follows.

These guys hook up with the prostitutes, many which are infected with HIV/AIDS, then take it home to their spouses, girlfriends, life partners. Since HIV takes years to manifest and people appear healthy, they could unknowingly infect many many innocent people.

Also, some of the prostitutes are being abused themselves by pimps, some are young runaways. They need to have a better life than having sex with strangers.

Its sad that a person would have such low self esteem that they could find themselves in this situation.

So, the Johns are supporting a corrupt industry that feeds on weak adults and sometimes children.

In closing, those that say its not a crime and what takes place between 2 adults is their business should realize that it reaches far past those 2 adults. The hookers may have children not being attended, drug addiction is rampant, women being beaten by their pimps for not collecting enough money, and then the innocent loved ones of the Johns suffer as well.
