See it is already asked.

Jeremiah 23:1-2 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture! saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed My people; Ye have scattered My flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. Move on Pastor, Move on and let this Church heal!

Most of what people hear about TRBC is very embarassing. Its about their finances; what the church does with its donations and its pastor. Its not recommended in the shape it is now.........

Just wanted to comment that Two Rivers Baptist Church is no longer considered a "Mega Church" At this time there are absolutely not 7,OOO members at this church. There could be approximately 1,500 at the very most and that is a bit off from 7,ooo......Jerry and his staff do not want the public to know that the membership had been reduced to a somewhat small number due to his latest scandal......... Its just getting smaller and smaller.......

Why doesn't someone who knows the situation start a website exposing this man. Truth is the victorious results of someone who has the "Courage".

What happened?

Because the Baptist think they can / are the only "true" Christians.

Half of you probably don't even belong to Two Rivers. I have been a member there for 15 years. The allegations are untrue. Trust me...you don't know the people who are doing this, I do. Also, how is it Bro. Jerry's fault that people don't come to church? What do you want him to do? Get up and go to 7,000 houses every Sunday and drag them out of bed? Hello...he's one man. And a great one at that. I doubt you could do any better.

Well Kelly, tell us what the "real truth" is about this man who you seem to "trust". What makes you not believe any of the allegations other than "he is the pastor". There are many corrupt pastors out there, have you not seen the news lately. I guess your like the members of Obama's church, believe every word!Don't be ignorant.

This is not true! Although I am not a member of Two Rivers Baptist, I was raised in a Baptist home, attended a Baptist church w/ a Baptist family and in the 27 years of my life I have NEVER heard anyone say that we as Baptist are the only "true" Christians. In fact my Grandmothers preacher is constantly talking about accepting other Christians regardless of their chosen "Denomination"

Denominations are "man made". "Most" current Baptist preachers are "MAn Caled" not "God Called". Don't believe me, take away the paycheck, and ask them to take a church in the middle of nowhere and see what there "real" calling is.

I can see your point and I can even agree w/you to an extent but I am just stating that NOT all “Baptist think they are the only "true" Christians.” I feel the church I was raised in is an exception (I’m sure a lot of people feel this way though) my grandmother’s BAPTIST preacher has been there for my family through a lot of hard times w/out receiving an extra penny for doing so.
When my grandfather passed away last year he conducted the funeral service free of charge and helped my grandmother pay for the casket and tombstone out of his pocket.

Was this the Pastor of Two Rivers? There are still some who "know the calling", but as I said" would they go anywhere, without the dollar flashing in the eye? Just read where a Pastor in Ga apologized for how the Baptist " have been horribly wrong in their approach and communication of sharing who Jesus really is."

Listen to the sermon from this 1400 member church:

I was impressed!

Thanks and I will check it out for sure!!

No, this was not the Pastor from 2rivers Baptist as I said, I am not nor have I ever been a member of 2rivers Baptist church. I just felt I should shed some light on the fact that all Baptist should not be judged by the mistakes of this pastor or any other pastor that has fallen short of the glory

I am a member of TRBC and I can say, without a doubt, that the pastor has done nothing illegal, immoral or unethical. Are there people who disagree with some of the decisions that have been made? Certainly, but their way of showing the disagreement is anything but Biblical or Christian-like. The specifics aren't important to anyone except the membership of the church, so I won't go into detail here. The people who are complaining have tried to trump up lies and innuendo and have resorted to extortion to remove the pastor from the church.

Are you sure the Pastor is that pure? Many are not these days as you know. MAny use the pulpits to advance "personal wealth and retirements plans" instead of "preaching the word". Sounds as if he may be part of this crowd. What did he do to explde this situation?

You know this whole thing about TRBC has gone on way to long. 1st I would like to say a preacher is just a man that God has given the gift of speech. Baptist are not the "true Christians" and I'm sure people have heard others say that but a Christian is a Christian no matter what church they attend. As far as “take away a check and see if the pastor stays”, well if the company you work for took away your check would you stay? Also a preacher’s work is not a 9-5 it's a 24/7 and they put forth way more effort than the average man does. Yes it is the work of God but they have to live, feed and take care of their families. I just feel if shady things are going on yes they should be brought to light but if every time you "claim" to have something on this man and you have nothing to back it up please just be quiet and sit down. If you disagree with this man find a new church. Really I think they need to find God because it seems as if they may have lost sight of him in this horrible witch hunt they have on their own pastor. Let it go, at this point you look silly and are just making people who don't believe have more to stand on, STOP!

You are invited to visit one of the most incredible Sunday School classes in this area. It is the Bible Searchers Class, and we meet in room 274 at 11:00 every Sunday morning at Two Rivers Baptist Church. Can we look for you???
