"Calsonic will add 526 jobs in Lewisburg, 489 in Shelbyville and 183 in Smyrna, but that's on top of about 1,000 new workers the company has hired over the past year, Masteller said, noting that recruiting has become a challenge."

These are not entirely assembly line positions. This is good news for just about every resident of our town.

We need those folks who apply to be work ready. Nobody owes them a job, they need to be thankful they have a job. Those who do not apply for a job and are capable of working (and not based on their fraudulent excuses)and are collecting food stamps and other welfare subsidies, need to be shamed and I mean shamed back to work. Stop enabling these poor people. I would work 24/7 if that is what it took to feed my family. They find it much easier to vote in folks who give them free stuff. Any women who cannot support her children should not have anymore children. Those who collect food stamps should get bread and cheese. That will make them work and work hard to hold their jobs. Those who can work and say the government approved it and gave it to me and I qualified are nothing but downright using a losers excuse(s). Get to work and appreciate what little you have. You get back exactly what you put into life. That is how it should be.

They might want to change their ways of life if they want to work and eat.
My conservative ways of thinking; if you get caught doing something wrong and get fired you should not get any (LOL) so-called "entitlements".
What you do on your own time does matter how you perform at work.
Try that in the military and see where it gets ya.
And for the lazy azz people who waddle from the handicap parking places, have some pride. Leave those spaces for the real handicap.

So you are saying that if I smoke some good ol mary jane the night before, it will affect how I perform the next day? Nope, try again.
The effects of weed only linger for a short amount of time.We are closer to legalization than ever before. I smoke pot because it is safer than alcohol, which could have an effect on my performance, the next day. There is a huge difference. Now I am not saying you should go to work high but there is nothing wrong with toking a little after work to relax and unwind. It is better than drinking a beer. Why do you think the medical benefits of marijuana are being studied in Israel by their goverment? Because they have realized the potential benefits and early studies have even shows that it stops cancer growth. I encourage everyone to watch this documentary published by CNN's chief medical advisor Dr. Sanjay Gupta .
It is the most informational documentary I have seen in years although I have to warn you, the medical condition of some of the people featured will leave you in tears. You can watch first hand how marijuana stops their symptoms and helps them daily.

Try again. If the law says no weed, no weed. Any problem understanding that?
If you lose your job, I too say, no freebees. You have been warned. Take the road of your choice.

Our men and women who wear green and many other organizations can restrain themselves, why can't you.

It sounds like you are a pretty weak person. I can unwind without weed/booze, why can't you? If you need to unwind, mow your grass.

If someone gets fired over something they do, it is all on them.
We need leaders who are willing and able to tell the people to get their acts together. I know one person who says it is what it is. Not good enough for me, an outsider who worked a real job since age 12. Past leadership shooed away all our good kids with their attitudes and ways of doing things "around here".

As for the weed king, grow up, get some decency and try to act responsible in life. You are doing illegal acts and if you get caught you will cry "whoa is me, now you have to take care of me". I worry about my personal records, you don't care about yours. It is all about your nasty bad attitude. Again, grow up, most of us grew out of the 60's.

Do you know my life? No,you don't. I have a college degree and a damn good job. Would you like to know why I smoke weed? I have Multiple Sclerosis. I would much rather smoke weed to ease my pain than take the poisin prescription drugs my doctor offered me. Your way of thinking is ignorant. My boss is aware of what I do and he knows that it helps me so before you pass judgement on someone make sure you know their story. The pills I was taking made me drowsy, sick, and unable to function on top of killing my liver. Marijuana is all natural and does no damage to my organs. Which would you rather have me do? Medical marijuana is legal in twenty states and DC so tell me again why you think it is so wrong to do it. Tennessee is working on a medical marijuana bill right now and soon it will be legal here. I pay taxes just like everyone else.

I did not feel the need to explain it earlier because I did not know that there was still such an oppositin to it. The majority of the American people are for full legalization.

Maybe, the majority of the folks you associate with, not mine.
Legalizing it will continue the downward slope this administration is hoping for.

Actually legalizing it will lower the national debt and reduce crime rates. The crime rate in Colorado and Washington have dropped since legalization occured so your analysis is wrong.

I'm so sick of people always using stupid excuses as to why they can't work or why they do illegal drugs... I don't care why you smoke weed!!! I don't, but as for now its not legal, so if its not legal that means you're not allowed to do it!!! I feel bad that we can't get good workers!!! It shows a lot about our state!!! People want something for nothing!!! Life does not work like that!!! No one owes you or I a damn thing!!! We must be accountable for our own actions!!! It's not societies fault... It's your fault that you don't work! Have pride... Most getting govt benefits do not need them...
