County Commission OKs budget items

The commission approved a $600,360.75 capital outlay note to buy two 12-passenger special education buses, four 84-passenger front engine buses and one 84-passenger rear engine bus.

Were they Gold-Plated???? Is it not time for parents to share in the cost of child-care and education?
AND, with all of Cheatham County's poor roads and streets, why buy the biggest buses? Is busing even an educational need????
