Should we have to keep paying for all these babies to be born?

The gal next door to me just had her third baby. She has not had insurance with any of them so the state has to pay with TennCare. This is her 3 rd one in less then 3 years and this one is a premi. She told my wife today that she was glad she had tenncare cause her medical bill for the new baby are over $300,000.
My wife and I work hard for what we have.I work two jobs and she works one full time and cleans houses. Our medical insurance cost us over $600 a month.I just think there comes a time when enough is enough.

I can understand people receiving government assistance if they truly need the help, but only up to a point and in certain situations.
A newly single mother starting over in life? Absolutely.
A young adult leaving home for the first time to further their education? You bet.
Anyone that happens upon hard times for that matter.
However, this assistance is only meant for temporary use; to provide a little help while someone is working on standing on their own two feet so they will be productive, successful members of the community who won't need the assistance any longer.
Unfortunately, it's a sad truth that several people have chosen government assistance as a career path.
Young girls and women having baby after baby, with the majority of them either having a spouse/partner who doesn't work, not working themselves or, in some cases, are completely dishonest about any income in order to acquire free health insurance, foodstamp assistance and cash benefits. All being free of charge to them, but costing the state's taxpayers millions each year.
The help should only be available to those who will help themselves and completely shut down to the lazy, hand-out seekers.
It's a very frustrating issue and I don't see it improving any until the assistance is cut off and people have no choice but to work and pay their own way.

I think people should get a job and pay for their own insurance. We have all these foreign people coming over here getting all the benefits and people from America can't even get anything we have to work hard for what we have. Me and my husband pay close to $500 for insurance.
