Reduced sentence? Only when every current and future LEO in Wilson County is six feet under.

The stolen car she was driving didn't "collide" with the two officers. She DELIBERATELY drove it into them at around 90 m.p.h. with the intent to do great harm or kill. These officers were already standing off the side of the road when they were hit. It was murder - pure and simple. She should never see the outside of prison walls. I suppose it was because of her age at the time that they didn't give her the death penalty, but it certainly would have been appropriate. God bless the families of these fine officers.

She and her lawyers must be absolutely crazy. There is no way she deserves one more pleasant moment in her life. Young or not she was old enough to know better. Drugs or not - she has no excuse. She deliberately killed two people and would've killed more had they been near the area when she made her decision. And DECISION is the key word here ... she decided to steal, drive, and run over people that day. That decision has severe penalities that even the most crazy, ignorant person in the world knew exsisted. She is right where she needs to be. Why waste one more minute of our court systems' time/money/resources on her!

She should have been served the death penalty...plain and simple! Instead, our tax dollars are supporting her worthless existence.

Being a former resident of Mt. Juliet, I absolutely, whole-heartedly find it absurd that this woman, this murderer would even think that she deserves a reduced sentence. In my opinion, life in prison was a reduced sentence. She killed to career police officers while fleeing from police. She intentionally swerved towards where they were standing and took them down. SHE LESS THAN SHE DESERVES!!!

Reduced Sentence? ha! She deserves to stay behind bars for what she did. The sentence she did receive of life in prison was lenient enough.

Let me get this straight: 1. She was not prepared to take the stand, 2. wanted a plea deal but her attorneys would not let her, 3. did not receive independent psych evaluation, and 4. her constitutional rights were violated. Hummmm, this is how I see it: 1. the two officers were not prepared to die, 2.I'm sure they wanted to live but she did not let them, 3.they did not have an independent decision in her actions, and 4. their constitutional rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness were violated because she did not give a rat's behind about anybody but herself...Let her rot.

She should get the needle and be trying to appeal to a life sentence. She should consider herself lucky.

No it isn't. Any break she gets would be a slap in the face to the officer's memory and their families. They don't get a reduction in their "sentences".

If she were MALE she would have got the death penalty that she greatly deserved. She is ungreatful for the gift of life she was given. I think her lawyers did a great job. She should be frying.

She made her choices, and she's been held responsible...if she were the least bit remorseful, she would not be back in court asking for anything. Awww, poor baby...did the system fail you??? NOT A CHANCE!!! Live with it...

Believe me, those two weren't altar boys, they have things they will have to account for on the great day of judgement, as does this woman.

Had it not been two police officers she would not have gotten the sentence she received. There is two different standards 1) When it involves law enforcement 2) when it involves the regular public. Case in point, the officer that ran over the little girl in Murfreesboro. He was going over 70 miles an hour in a residential area , had whiskey bottles in his cruiser and then tried to dispose of the evidence. Then went to a Mapco to get some Gatorade and some diauretic to help get it out of his system. His sentence O , nothing, zilch. Tell me what is the difference.

just saying. You will have things to account for as well, unless your name is Jesus. Is your name Jesus? Do you really believe in your mind that she is a poor innocent lamb, which the justice system failed her? Do you feel she should be set free? How do you know these guys were not alter boys? Do you know them personally? Please tell us all everything you know about them. Tell that to their widows and children.

You really don't know what you are talking about. Two totally different scenarios. And yes, Ron Killings should have been convicted. However, a jury of his peers decided not to convict. They are not done with him though. He will be serving time soon.
