Legislative notebook: Campfield delays welfare-school performance bill
Sen. Stacey Campfield postponed a Senate floor vote Thursday on his bill to reduce welfare benefits of parents whose children are failing in school, but says he is optimistic about prospects for passage when it comes up again next week.
