The amount of money that "Americans for Prosperity"(Koch Brothers) and "American Crossroads"(Karl Rove) are throwing out is unheard of, but even the fact that they are throwing it out the door, they still have more to throw........there is no end to the money that they can collect and throw.

OT, I'm putting this up because I remember you saying that the GOP wasn't interested in running the only Candidate who might be able to beat Obama. I don't know if Huntsman would have won, but the Obama Camp has stated that he was the only GOP Member that they were worried about being selected, for them to run against. I can see why! He certainly makes more sense than Romney or any of the Others did, by far.

Unfortunately, that's true! Some People just have too much money and too little common sense, along with a dark side, in this Country.

Sassy,(I'm not trying to take away OT's thunder) during the debates I even posted that Jon Huntsman would be their only real hope or something like that. So when he went down I was concerned about who would pull it off for the Republicans.

Norquist is just wrong about this. It will not be the Democrats and Obama that the majority of the People will blame, it will be the Republicans and particularly, the Tea Party Members of Congress. It will seal the fate of the Republican Party and they will never again, win an election, EVER!
That's interesting. Some members of the GOP have stated that Rmoney's incessant whining has already cost them the 2016 election.

Well, I still don't trust him, but he, at least, has sense enough to see some of the places the Teapublicans went wrong and that they can't win an election until they change their message. That's more than any of the rest of them realized, including Romney! So, I'll give credit where credit's due...Lord knows, they need all of the credit they can get because they don't have anything else going for them, right now!

He is a "whiner", that's for sure. But, that kinda goes along with being pampered all your Life, like most Wealthy People are!
Thank God, we didn't elect him for President!

Very true. I thought McCain's 4 years of Daily whining to Fox News was bad enough. But, Rmoney acts like he lost it. He still has his silver spoon, it isn't so bad for him.

Now that Obama has been re-elected, he has a lot more flexibility, and can do pretty much whatever he wants. Michelle can too.

Last year, while in campaign mode, the White House was decorated with a paltry 28 Christmas trees. Freed from the restraints of having to look like they care, the Obama’s ordered up DOUBLE that amount this year. That’s right folks – 54 living trees gave up their lives to brighten up Obamahouse.

Apparently they LIKE living the lives of 1%ers.

"We have 54 trees in the White House," an excited Michelle Obama proudly told visitors the other day. "54! That’s a lot of trees."

Hmmm. That’s also 54 less carbon dioxide consumers.
And they weren’t those little six footers you buy at Walmart. These things were magnificent specimens hand picked by someone they flew all over the place to get them.

Carbon foot print? We don’t have no steenkin’
carbon foot print. We have new found “flexibility”.

One can only wonder how much coal it takes to light those trees, now that Obama has “flexed” his muscles and made coal a bad thing. You can just see the electric meter spinning wildly when they turn on the switch at the White House.

“Woo Hoo! We be burnin’ some electricity today, Michelle. Better get on the phone to Boehner and get those taxes raised. Someone’s gotta pay for all these trees.”

What’s even better is that the First Family won’t even be there for Christmas – or whatever holiday they’re into. They’re going to Hawaii from Dec. 17 through Jan. 6. That's about a 50% longer holiday vacation than last year.

Must be nice to have more flexibility.

The White House released this today:

Sorry about you regular saps. Stupid is as stupid does. Thanks for giving me the flexibility I deserve. Now, get to work and change the law so I can be ruler for life. I kinda like all this unearned rich stuff. Keep those campaign donations coming in.

People who've been "entitled" all their Life, can't take rejection of any kind...they just don't know how to deal with it. Romney is one of those People!

I remember that most of the Democrats on this thread were in agreement that Huntsman had the best chance of any of the bunch running, to beat Obama. I THINK we also agreed that he couldn't win the nomination !
Huntsman was everything I liked about the old time Republicans.
Pro private property rights,
Por REASONABLE gun rights,
Informed and intellegent on foreign policy issues,
Pro business, but NOT a zealot on deregulation,
Careful on fiscal issues, but not an anti-tax kook,
Solid on defense but not a war monger,
NOT someone that will engage in the dog whistles on race that other Republicans are becoming famous for,
In short a candidate that would attract the vast center of the country and draw support from both conservative Democrats and liberal Republicans.
A Huntsman candidacy would have given Chicago fits ! But the lunatics have taken over the party in the primary process and while they EVENTUALLY chose the second most electable candidate of the remaining Republicans in the race, they succeeded in FIRST making him unpalatable and unacceptable for the majority of Americans, by making him disavow any and all previous positions he had ever taken that didn't conform to their radical ideology.

Now it appears that the party has decided that the loss wasn't the message the party has adopted but the messanger carrying it ! This is the ideal position for them to take...if they wish to keep losing.

That meter might not have had to spin as fast if Ronnie Reagan hadn't taken down those Jimmy Carter solar panels from the White House roof...but then again it was "Morning in America" and he and Nancy didn't like the look or the message those panels represented.
Good try !

A Huntsman candidacy would have given us a white Obama.

Perhaps you forget that the margin was very slim. Obama almost lost it.

That system is still working today, but all it can do is provide hot water for a cafeteria. Don't think it would have put a dent in the Christmas light consumption.

Also, were you aware that the EVIL George Bush had solar put back? No, I didn't think so.

"The WhiteHouse had 167 solar energy panels placed atop a maintenance buildingoutside the residence. On two other buildings -- an adjoining maintenance building and the president's cabana -- systems wereinstalled that will help heat the water for, among other uses, thepresidential pool and spa."

"The White House and the National Park Service, which oversee theprojects, could not say how much power the systems are generating -- orhow much money they are saving the public.

With Washington's climate and the pitch of the building roofs considered less than ideal, the output of any system would be limited, said one of the project's managers."

"I think the symbolic nature of this exceeds the actual kilowatts produced," said SEIA spokesman Michael Paranzino.

I'll bet you also weren't aware that Bush uses solar power on his ranch in Texas, did you?

Whatever, you missed the point. Obama is living an oppulent life while most Americans are trying to get by.

He's sticking it in our faces.

Here's an idea. why not make him King? He's living like one.

and don't forget his upcoming $4 million vacation.. and Michelle's 44 personal assistants... it simply amazes me that these idiots can't see how much they are being fleeced.. simply because Obama SAYS he is for the middle class and the little guys... all the while laughing his head off at all the gullible idiots

Fine "Omen" ! It isn't in my best interest to provide the Republicans with suggestions on how to win elections. BUT if a Republican couldn't win this time with the economy in the shape it is in, the country running huge deficits, unemployment high, and a president that wasn't that popular within his own party.....well just keep on keepin on !
