First of all, true conservatives don't "cower" to anything. Your notion that conservatives consider either of these issues a "trump card" is just that....yours!
As someone with an extensive past in post-abortive counseling for men and women, and confinement facility work interacting with individuals with addiction issues, I will attest that these two realms are complex, difficult and dark.
willard, isnt our current state of materialism complex, difficult and dark?

Really? Name just one of those Presidents. As for Romney, he never once said that nor even hinted at it, so you're just making all of this crap up...and that's all it is too, CRAP!

Of the universe of social addictions, or even a sub-group of "sex" addictions, homosexuality is but a single component. However, this smaller realm has been been politicized beyond exploitation and receives great propulsion vis-a-vis the enterprise of national victimhood.
Brothers and sisters struggling with "any" addiction need to know that men may fail them, God never will. Rather, it takes man's decision to reject our Lord.
John, chapter 6:- remarkable promises here!
"For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day."
Pass the collection Plate and give generously, Folks, the Lord wants you to! After all, I may have to buy groceries this week.

<quoted text> No my friend, the destruction of this country began with the election of Ronald Reagan and his notion of trickle down economics, his ideas that greed is good, that government is the problem, and that lower taxes and less regulation are the prescription for all that ails us marked the beginning of the end of the American middle class and the American dream.
There are some things that only government can provide, no matter the protestations to the contrary from the anti-tax zealots of the right wing. Our failure to invest in the future for the next generations in favor of the instant gratifications of tax cuts for those who do not need them has shortchanged the next generation's ability to thrive. We are handing them a country that is a shadow of the one that was handed to us.
I do not expect you to agree....there are none so blind....
This Post of OT's is exactly right and accurate. If you Conservatives had been paying any attention, at all, you would know this, already. But, you took it all for granted, only read and listened to the Reports that told you what you wanted to hear and see, and it made no difference to you if it was true or not, just like you're doing now.
You have no idea what brought us to this point and you still don't! You're the most closed-minded People on the face of this Earth, in what was once the Greatest Country on Earth, with the most access to information, on the face of the Earth, but you chose to stick your head in the sand , become even more ignorant with each passing day and now, you refuse to see anything that might pull us out of this mess that we're in because it would require you to admit that you are wrong about all of it!
It's almost like you're proud to be ignorant and intend to remain so, at all costs! You are self-destructing and you will be left behind, if you continue on the path that you've chosen because the rest of us will move the Country forward, with or without you! It would be much easier WITH you, but we will move it forward, either way...MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT!

WILLARD, how do you explain all the People in this World, who are sick, dying, starving, being maimed in War, and enduring the most horrific of lives from the time of their birth until the time of their death? Where is God in their Lives and how is he helpng them?

So I headed to the store to get more eggs and some nice flowers but I got sidetracked again driving past Lous Bar and Grill.
A few hours later I got back with a buzz and a six pack and she got the victorian on the hill and I got the cabin in the woods, the old english sheep dog and the f--ken Farberware.
The moral of this story is...fry or scramble your eggs!:)

What a joke! you were scared of a MAYBE cannon ball that MIGHT have landed in your yard 150 years ago! ROFLMMFAO@U
No, actually, I wondered if they had fired some of the old cannons at Pilot Knob and some other places that they used to have cermonies where they re-inacted some of the Civil War things around here and my yard is where one of the cannon balls landed. I think they've stopped doing that now, but they used to do it and we used to have several working cannons, at different places around here. How many remember when the cannon used to sit in the yard at the Public Defender's Office? I don't know it it's still there or not, but I haven't noticed it lately...of course, I've not looked, either.

How absolutely stupid can you possibly be? Civil war cannons had a range from 300 to 1500 yards. Not 5 miles AND it is against the law to fire a cannon, even as part of a ceremony in ANY state park in Tennessee. Weren't YOU paying attention when The FONBF had their celebration last year? It was on the paper, on the radio, and posted on the doors of just about every
business in BENTON COUNTY TENNESSEE.
Now Im sure you will come tell me how wrong I am but I just so happened to be there when the State told the FONBF couldn't even bring cannons INTO the park.

Bless your little Silly Heart, you think that the way things are now, are the way they've always been, don't you?

You really are an idiot.
Sure, they aimed the cannons towards town, WITH projectiles. Dumbazz, ceremony cannons are fired with JUST gunpowder. They don't LOAD them with artillery.
So much for the whole "With age comes wisdom" theory.

With all due respect...nevermind! Your stupidity is surpassed only by your vanity! You can't bear to accept the prospect that there are other educated, informed, un-bashful conservatives besides me capable of kicking your ass out here. Not that your ego wants to hear this, but many of them are women! It'll be our secret, unless you choose otherwise.
I do not create fictitious identities for the purpose of secreting mine. I have created fictitious identities a few times for comedic effect, but always in a manner readily obvious to anyone with an I.Q. minimally comparable to that of a garbage disposal. I'm really not sure exactly where that leaves you here...just always ask if you're confused!
You continue repeating the names of Mary Ann and Carol, as though everyone who isn't a socialist and/or marxist scum-bag must therefore be a created, fictitious identity. Get a grip, sunshine!
I do not know any such people, but do know "of" one of these individuals.
Clearly, I do not live by your rules, whether you like them or not! I state my convictions front and center and fear nothing from small men. I refuse to hide behind a different pseudonym every day like you and your completely stupid friends! I do not shoot from the alleys and shadows, only to run for the tall grass to escape accountability. You live in a world which makes me sick to my stomach. No-one fights my battles for me. Anything I consider to be worth posting, I will post it..no-one else!
Now now Willard, don't get so upset, as you have plenty fictitious identities as you call them to hide behind. So who is the confused one?

You know, Dunlapian, I've wondered about that and I mentioned it before. Why do People post using so many different Names? Is it for a legitimate reason or is it just part of the silly "game" they play? I've never understood it and probably never will.
