I'm always amazed at all the Topix posters who are non-business owners who think they know exactly how businesses think, operate and that all of them exist simply to make their CEO's and owners rich. Most businesses are not like GM, GE, Microsoft, etc. A lot of them are struggling simply to survive in this economy and who are doing everything possible to keep from having to lay employees off. I'll admit, there are some greedy corporations out there, but most are not.
You might also be surprised to know that some of us were small business Owners and that's why we know so much of what it's all about...and you might be even more surprised to know that some of us are even (now, don't faint) FEMALE!

Don't confuse conservatives with facts, they'll only look at you confused and scream "Socialist!" They don't know why, they're just wired that way. Doesn't help them with elections, so pay them mind.

OA, I have talked to a very small group of business owners(the 97% group)that I know well enough to ask the big question; Who did you vote for? They all said, although they were Republican and always voted Republican, this time they voted for President Obama.
The reason they all said was it would help their business, by bringing in more customers with money to spend.

It's got a lot to do with the Govy. The Farberware should be banned at least from the old foggies cause the bottom melts when you forget and let the water boil out, and it leaves a mark on the stove and a hole in the hardwoods. And you ought to see what happens when the hard boiled eggs lose the water and they explode all over the kitchen and another Farber pot for the trash. And you think the government should not get involved. Whats wrong with you?
In my case, I was on the telephone in another room, listening to a Friend, who has a very serious problem and I forgot about the Tea Kettle on the Stove and it did exactly that, ran dry and ruined it. I heard it whistling , but I thought it had plenty of water in it. I din't realize that it would run dry so fast. Then, when the water was gone, it stopped whistling, of course, and I forgot about it!
Hey, cut me some slack, it's the first time that I've ever let anything ruin, in the Kettle/Pot line that I had on the stove...I think that's pretty good, considering how much cooking I've done in my Life.:)
My Son bought me that Tea Kettle when he was just a little Guy, and it didn't have a scatch on it! So, I hated burning it up for more reasons than One!

LOL! If you don't already know, it changes according to whichever judge-it gets the most. So, even if it doesn't show up immediately, when enough Posters vote the same way, it will change then, if that is the highest amount.

For instance, if I voted "X" , the "x" would show up...but if you voted a "check mark", I don't think it would change because it's an equal number of each one. But, if one more Person clicked on the "check mark" LATER...that "x" would change to a "check mark", and it will go back and forth sometimes, based on that same example, as more Posters click on their choice. The Judge-its show up based strictly on the majority votes, if all 3 slots are filled, and they change accordingly...by the simple majority of one vote. Therefore, go ahead and vote even if all three slots are filld because theat will help change what shows up in one or more of the slots.
If you already know this, Hey, just consider that I put it up for anybody that didn't know how it works.:)
