And speaking of that, I can't believe that neither Spouse has said, "I'm outta here", either. Both of them have been Nationally humiliated and they're still hanging in there. Blows my Mind!
In the case of the Kelly woman, I think of the husband more as a pimp rather than a cuckolded husband. There are children in both marriages though. The Broadwell husband probably wants the least collateral damage. And what does the Kelly socialite's husband want?

Honey, you're asking me something that I can't answer. I can't relate to any of their actions or their thoughts, as far as having a cheating Spouse is concerned. If I were the Spouse of any of the Guilty Parties, having to look at them everyday would be much more painful that divorcing them, and moving on with my Life and away from them. But you know, that may still happen because I just can't imagine that something that publicly humiliating can ever be forgotten or forgiven...and to top it all off, the Broadwell Woman just can't shut up about it!

Positioning for the next presidential election has already started. Jindal and Rubio are trying to get out front of the pack by throwing Romney under the bus. I have to wonder if what is left of the Republican party will sign on to a kinder gentler Republican party or if they will double down on the "makers" vs "takers" message that has served them so well in this cycle. Christie is well positioned to be a (slightly) more moderate voice for Republicans, having won once and almost assuredly twice in a historically blue state. The old southern strategy which delivered the White House for Nixon is all but dead and Tampa has ticked off the Ron Paul wing, so if Republicans are to be successful in 2016 and beyond, some new ideas will have to be incorporated in their strategy and the party platform. Putting Rubio on the ticket will NOT automatically deliver Hispanics for Republicans without a sea change in the Republican base regarding non-white Americans...something that has not happened since the Dixiecrats found the welcome mat out for them in the Republican Party in the mid 1960's.
Obamacare will be implemented in 2014 and 40 million Americans will finally have access to affordable health insurance, provided for them by a Democratic President. This program has the potential to become as popular as Social Security and that helped to propel the Dems to victory in 5 consecutive presidential races and cemented Democratic majorities in congress for many years. In the next year or two, if the economy rebounds and unemployment continues to fall, the Republican party will have little left of their usual issues to run on. Obama has neutralized their advantage on foreign policy and the military... supporting the rich helped to erode their numbers in this cycle and the social wedge issues did more harm than good. The GOP COULD be on the verge of a big reinvention that will move them into the 21st century or they can double down on what worked for them in 1968 and 1980...I suspect they will double down ....or at least I hope they do.
Why do you care what the republicans do? You will never vote for them - your best candidate is the socialist Bernie Sanders.

What a waste of bandwidth and time.

And it's Candidates will not be seriously considered for any Political Office. It's "Make or Break" time for the Republican Party and it's Leaders need to recognize that Fact! Whether they will or not remains to be seen!
I love all the suggestions you have for the party you would never vote for.

Let's face it, as another poster commented just before the election, there are more workers than bosses in this country. In addition, there are more takers, lazy, stupid, and drug addled people than bosses. And our schools are indoctrinating the kids in getting that which they think they’re owed, without having paid the price. Two plus two equals five will get you a gold star for trying.

Free food. Free rent. Free contraceptives. Free abortions. Free heat. Free college. Free everything without achieving anything.

The republicans will never govern again, because too many people are used to getting without having done anything for it.

Your problem will be paying for all of this. History has shown that when achievers are penalized, they stop working or they take their ball and go somewhere else.

The problem is that Republicans have no other loyal constituiency left except for the tea party. I will go even further, I submit for the most part the tea party IS the Republican party. Driven from the ranks of Republicans are young people, unmarried women, gays, blacks, Jews, Hispanics, those with advanced degrees and the Dems have even made inroads with married women. No amount of lip service will move these constituiencies back into the Republican column. That will take an effort to move toward a platform that is not just less hostile to minorities, but one that is welcoming to them. One that is not just less demeaning to women but acknowledges their equality with men. A platform not riddled with social issues that most Americans thought were litagated long ago. Can you see any of the remaining Republicans on this thread becoming welcoming to any constituiency that is not white as white bread, southern, evangelical, male and heterosexual ? Not a chance.
It isn't that I don't think Republicans can win a few more elections the way they are because they can, but the trend is not their friend and with each subsequent loss comes a chance to evolve or lose a few more members. The party that does not believe in evolution is being called upon to do so or they will become a regional party of the Old South and an ever shrinking middle west. Right now, my bet is on the latter.

Because I am an East Tennessean, I have voted for MANY more Republicans than Democrats. That being said with each subsequent election I have found fewer and fewer that I could in good concience cast my vote for. The party of Lincoln is fast becoming a party of idiots and if some of them had any less brainpower they would have to be watered twice a week. Keep up the good work.

Ur warped message for the day

Have you ever wondered who first uttered the phrase: "You Gotta Be Shittin Me?"

Well, it just so happens to have originated through the Father of Our country, way back when George Washington was crossing the Delaware river with his troops.

There were 33 (remember this number) in Washington 's boat. It was extremely dark and storming furiously and the water was tossing them about.

Finally, Washington grabbed Corporal Peters (remember this name) and stationed him at the front of the boat with a lantern. He ordered him to keep swinging it, so they could see where they were heading.

Corporal Peters, through driving rain and cold, continued swinging the lantern back and forth, back and forth.

Then a big gust of wind and a wave hit and threw Corporal Peters and his lantern into the Delaware . Washington and his troops searched for nearly an hour trying to find Corporal Peters, but to no avail. All of them felt terrible, for the Corporal had been one of their favorites.

Sometime later, Washington and his troops landed on the other side, wet and totally exhausted. He rallied the troops and told them they must go on.

Another hour later, one of his men said,'General, I see lights ahead.' They trudged toward the lights and came upon a huge house.

What they didn't know was that this was a house of ill repute, hidden in the forest to serve all who came.

General Washington pounded on the door, his men crowding around him.

The door swung open, and much to his surprise stood a beautiful woman..

A huge smile came across her face, to see so many men standing there.

Washington was the first to speak,'Madam, I am General George Washington and these are my men. We are tired, wet, exhausted, and desperately need warmth and comfort.'

Again, the Madam looked at all the men standing there, and with a broad smile on her face, said,'Well, General, you have come to the right place. We can surely give you warmth and comfort. How many men do you have?'

Washington replied,'Well, Madam, there are 32 of us without Peters .'

And the Madam said,'You gotta be shittin me.'
